Zoya has brought back their Matte Velvet collection again, but this time.. the full original collection! Last year we saw a few old favorites return and people were bummed that Harlow wasn’t included. Well, if you’ve been waiting for it, now’s your chance.
The Matte Velvet collection consists of 6 lush shades perfect for Fall. Zoya actually has 9 mattes total (Phoebe, Mitzi and Lolly were a different release and not part of the originals) that they’ve created. Maybe one day we’ll see the rerelease of the Mod Mattes as well.
Let’s revisit the Matte Velvets now! I will be showing them in their matte finish (as intended) but also with top coat.
Posh
Posh was the first Matte Velvet I ever owned! Posh is a medium cool-toned wine red with metallic red shimmer and a velvety matte finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Savita
Savita is quite possibly my favorite of the 6 shades. Savita is a bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and gold shimmer with a velvety finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Verushka
Verushka is a deep evergreen garnished with strong metallic shimmer in a velvety finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Loredana
Loredana is a medium gunmetal grey, packed with silvery shimmer and a velvety finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Dovima
Dovima is probably my most used from the Matte Velvet collection! Dovima is a smoky charcoal-black with strong silver shimmer and a velvety finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Harlow
Harlow is the Matte Velvet that I have seen some ladies pay top dollar for since it was discontinued a couple years ago. I also know a few who were holding out hope that it would one day reappear.
Harlow is a rich, saturated rose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer in a velvety finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Overview
I am so thrilled Zoya brought these back! Such beautiful Fall shades and I love a matte finish.. but the added shimmer in each one, especially with top coat just puts them over the edge! No application issues, and I only had to use 2 coats for each shade.
Price: $9.00 Each

Will you be grabbing any of the Matte Velvet shades? I’d love to hear about it!
If you plan on putting in a Zoya order, make sure to check out my swatches in the Zoya section of my Swatch Gallery! You might find a few oldies but goodies ;)

Gorgeous swatches Lisa! And yes, they are amazing matte and shiny, so I’m glad that you showed them both ways. I need to get my butt into gear and grab the remaining 4 that I need to complete my collection before they disappear again!
These are so fantastical and your swatches make me excited to get these all on my nails (again!)
Thank you for showing them with a top coat! I LOVE them all with the top coat but only really “need” a couple sans top coat. Lovely swatches! PS – I need Dovima. Yep.
Ohhh, these are all lovely! I’m so tempted to order them all!
So glad I’ve finally gotten to try them all. :) Love how you topcoated each color too :)
Savita en Verushka… just perfect. I need them…
Beautiful swatches!
I am freaking drooling over these – brb, gotta buy them now!
I don’t normally like matte polish, but I want some of these! Posh and Savita mainly. Great swatches Lisa!
I love this whole collection!!! As someone who had missed out on the Matte Velvets I was so happy to get these!! Your swatches are amazing amd I especially love Harlow on you!!!
How do you even pick a favorite? These colors are all so gorgeous!
[…] colors in this collection were really nice choices BUT I do wish the formula was the same as the original matte velvet collection. I also wish some of the colors were further from shades in the original. They aren’t so […]
