Enchanted Holiday 2016 Collection
I have several Winter/Holiday mainstream polish collections to share with you in the coming days, and to start off I have the Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 Collection.
This is a 6 piece collection that has 4 PixieDust formulas and 2 lovely shimmery shades. I do have each PixieDust to share with you that has top coat and without, so you can see it both ways, so there are extra photos for this post.
Let’s take a look
Elphie
Elphie is a deep emerald green textured shade with green microglitters added in. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos. A few photos down, you’ll see this shade with top coat as well, then a side by side split image.
Lorna
Lorna is a deep berry textured polish with dark pink microglitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos. A few photos down, you’ll see this shade with top coat as well, then a side by side split image.
Lorna never dried down to a full matte look for me. While it’s not glossy, it looks wet still, even when it’s not.
Waverly
Waverly is a deep sapphire blue texture polish with blue microglitter mixed in. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos.
A few photos down, you’ll see this shade with top coat as well, then a side by side split image.
Alice
Alice is my favorite PixieDust of the 4! This is a medium periwinkle textured polish with magenta and blue microglitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos.
A few photos down, you’ll see this shade with top coat as well, then a side by side split image.
Saint
Saint is a medium periwinkle creme base with violet pink shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Olivera
Olivera is my #1 pick from the entire collection. I really love shimmer shades, especially with deep bases and vibrant shimmer that gives it a glowy effect. Olivera is a deep indigo creme base with green to purple shimmer shift. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The shimmer mainly shows green and the purple shift is there, but the indigo base makes it incredibly subtle.
Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 Collection Overview
I like the mix of PixieDusts and shimmer shades in one collection. I do still love PixieDusts, but I think I’m growing out of the texture phase in general. Only 1 of the PixieDusts really got me excited and that was Alice. The other 3 are lovely, but I wasn’t overly excited about them. I actually prefer Waverly, Lorna and Elphie with top coat and usually I like PixieDusts as is, so that was a telling sign that I could have done without. The shimmers were my top picks of the bunch. I had no application issues with any of the shades.
Top Picks: Olivera, Saint and Alice
Price: $10.00 Each

Love your swatches! I was VERY excited about this collection. I think it’s perfect for Winter!
Beautiful! I’m loving Lorna and Waverly. I tend to wear Pixie Dusts without the top coat despite the texture.
I love these new Pixies!!!!
Your pics are so stunning! I love Lorna the most!
I must buy Olivera. It truly is one of my favorite shades. Period. The end
I’m obsessed with that berry color Lorna
Olivera is simply stunning.
I don’t care for textured polishes, but I love the smooth versions!

I don’t like textured polish and never had. But some get extra depth in shine when properly covered by a top coat. So I was wondering: how well did your top coat actually cover the texture of pixie dust? Do you need many coats? Do you need an extra thick top coat? Do you still get small bumps even after the top coat? Thanks in advance for the info. :)
Loooove your swatches and superb nails.
I use 1 coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze, and it’s a really thick top coat nicely suited for textures. Since these aren’t super textured, it worked well for me. If I were to use Seche Vite or other semi thick quick dry top coats, I would probably need 2 coats.
And thank you so much!
Oh thank you for the infos. I may try one (for which I’ll reeeeaaally like the colour!), then. :)
