Winter Hand & Nail Care With iHerb

This year marks my 7th year blogging. While I started off as a beauty blogger, I soon found my niche within the beauty blogging community and focused heavily on nails. Over the years I’m asked about products I use to maintain healthy nails with all of the polishing and removal of polish I do. Acetone on nails over and over is no joke. This week alone I’ve already gone through nearly 20 fl oz of acetone.

A little over a year ago I discovered iHerb, best described as a ‘one stop shop’ and global leader in bringing the best overall value in natural products. They carry some of my hand and nail essentials, so it’s easy and convenient to restock the items I need to keep my nails and cuticles looking their best.

Within this post we’re going to talk about items I use regularly as well as discuss iHerb and why I always go back to them to replenish my needed items.

Before we get started on my hand/nail care essentials, let’s talk about one of the big reasons I started ordering from iHerb, their Triple Guarantee. iHerb’s Triple Guarantee is to ensure customers are 100% satisfied with products.

The Triple Guarantee includes:

  1. Value Guarantee – iHerb guarantees that you will receive the best overall value in the world for over 30,000 brand name natural products.
  2. Quality Guarantee: As a California based superstore, iHerb guarantees that all products are authentic brands sold in the U.S. market. iHerb is committed to providing quality assurance for our products and ship directly from climate controlled warehouses.
  3. Delivery Guarantee: No excuses. We guarantee delivery of your order! – We provide free or discounted shipping to over 150 countries around the world.

If you aren’t within the US, iHerb offers different shipping methods to get your items to your door. You can check them out here.

Alright, now you know why I shop with iHerb, let’s see what I buy from them!

I’m starting with my most purchased item! Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies with Biotin. Obviously I want to give my nails a boost and keep them healthy, and sometimes that comes from within. I don’t do well with pills, so for me, Gummies are the way to go.

After breakfast each morning, I take 2 of the Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies. Pretty simple. When I started taking them, it took about a month to see a real difference. My hair and nails started growing faster, but they also looked healthier.

These are strawberry flavored too… so they’re pretty delicious.

Tree Hut is an incredible brand that you’ve most likely spotted on my Instagram account lately. I was thrilled when I saw iHerb also carried their products!

Every night before bed I generally do a hand scrub to get rid of the dead skin and build up (I usually scrub past my wrists) then rinse and follow up with their Moisturizing Hand Cream.

One of my current favorite scents from Tree Hut right now is Coconut Lime. It gets me excited for Spring and smells incredible.

There are other scents featured on iHerb if Coconut Lime isn’t for you. Trust me, you’ll love this brand once you try it.

The mix of these 2 products regularly keeps my hands smooth and photo ready.

This is a newer find for me. Jason Tea Tree Nail Saver rehydrates and revitalizes dry cuticles and brittle nails. I don’t really have brittle nails, but with the amount of acetone remover I use, it’s easy for them to become more brittle. Plus the acetone does a number on my cuticles.

Like any cuticle oil, I brush some on the cuticle and nail, let sit a bit, then gently massage into the nails and surround cuticle area. Plus the added Tea Tree helps to treat nail fungal infections.

While I’ve never had it, it’s almost like a precaution to me. Tea Tree Oil has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties which make it ideal for treating and soothing skin conditions.

Zum Rub is also a newer find for me. I’m always on the lookout for cuticle care. It’s described as a “magical moisturizer for scaly skin” and yes, I was intrigued. I also was not disappointed.

This is my second tin of Zum Rub and it lasts quite awhile, so it’s a good purchase. It breathes new life into skin and soothes and moisturizes dry, flaky areas like cuticles, elbows, hands and heels.

My favorite thing is that this is effective, but when applied it doesn’t feel greasy and it absorbs nicely into the skin. Rather than an oil, this is in balm form so it’s a bit more intensive and I use it at night before bed.

One of my absolute favorite things to do on Sunday is pampering. I take an hour to myself every Sunday night to do some self care. Usually this involves me laying in bed watching Netflix with zero interruptions while doing a peel or mask. Then I discovered Moisturizing Gloves.

Game Changer.

I have 2 different ones I rotate. Nu-Pore Moisturizing Gloves with Jojoba Oil & Aloe Vera Extract and Miss Spa Deep Therapy. Miss Spa Deep Therapy is currently on clearance though, so it’s only available while supplies last. I’ll have to stock up on some extras before they’re gone!

Both are gloves with a ton of moisturizing properties packed inside. Simply remove them from the packet and put them on.

I love simple.

I’ve tried a lot of moisturizing gloves, and iHerb offers a nice selection, but these are my top 2.

I use Nu-Pore when my hands are doing pretty good and just need a boost, but I prefer Miss Spa for when I need some serious moisture.

I keep these on hand as essentials. SOPHi by Piggy Paint’s Prime + Shine + Seal System is really good if you don’t want harsh chemicals. When my nails happen to be in bad shape (it happens) then I use these over other base and top coats when I still want to do my nails.

I also like having them around for when I use powders. The top coat is water based, so it doesn’t dull those fun chrome powders that made a splash. If you use normal top coat it can dull or smear the powder, so I use this instead. The Primer + Sealer goes over the top coat and helps it last longer.

As for SOPHi Skinny Dip + Chips nail polish – everyone needs their perfect neutral. You can wear it to job interviews, work, date night, casual errands or fancy dinners. It’s like the little black dress for your nails.

And the final 2 items I use a lot! Honeybee Gardens 4 Sided Nail File/Buffer and E.L.F. Cosmetics Small Angled Brush.

I mostly use the buffing block to round of the corners of my nails without taking off too much, as well as buff the free edge of my nail to remove any snags or shavings from filing. You can find one of these at my work desk, home desk and bedside table.

The E.L.F. Cosmetics Small Angled Brush is a well known nail secret. You use this little guy to clean up along your cuticle line. Notice how most nail bloggers have an almost perfect gap between their polish and cuticle line? It’s usually all thanks to this brush. Dip the bristles in a bit of polish remover and then gently clean up any wayward brush strokes from the polish.

The brush will start to break down overtime, it wasn’t created for nail use. Luckily they aren’t too pricey, so I usually buy 5 at a time. Each brush lasts me roughly 2 months, sometimes longer depending on how messy I’m being.

Now you’ve seen my must haves from iHerb. It’s a pretty incredible selection of products I can grab in one spot. No jumping around to various sites and paying a bunch of different shipping fees. Makes it convenient for both me and my bank account.

Thanks to our friends at iHerb, New and Existing Customers can get a discount off their iHerb order with no minimum purchase by clicking here.

Take a peek around the iHerb shop. They have over 30,000 products. You can stock up on nail care goodies as well as other products you use in your day to day life.

Those look like great products to restore your nails and hands. My nails seem to get so dry in the winter!

My hands are always on display at work, so I appreciate these tips. Dry skin is really evident in the winter. If I don’t stay on top of it I can look like I’ve been playing in flour. I’m anxious to try all of the products you mentioned because they all look like they’ll get the job done. Thanks for sharing!

Nice haul of essentials you got from iHerb! I was curious about those biotin gummies from Nature’s Bounty. I think I saw them at Costco. I take 10K of biotin a day, and it definitely works for me. Tree Hut is a really good affordable skincare brand.

I can’t imagine what your hands go through. The amount of swatching you do is incredible. I think it’s wonderful that you can do one stop shopping at iHerb for all of these.

I need to find a better polish for my nails that doesn’t come off in 2 days max even with the top coat on. I love that body scrub I have a few of the flavors as I call them in my bathroom
