New Years Day 2020 Release

Apparently the 11 hour post wasn’t enough for me today – so I’m back with another one! We’re looking at the Vapid Lacquer New Years Day 2020 Release!

This set of polishes is a Vapicorn Exclusive preorder – so you do need to be part of the Vapicorn group to purchase. Within the group there is a password to get into the site. They will become available on January 1st, 2020 to welcome in the new year and new beginnings for Vapid Lacquer! To thank those who stood by and supported Vapid while major changes were being made behind the scenes, Krys has created 3 stunning shades.

One thing to note (since it came up in group) is that there is no Happy Freakin’ New Year 2019. We’re done with 2019 and she’s kicking off the year with Happy Freakin’ New Year 2020 instead.

Vapid Lacquer | Tenacious

Tenacious is a silvery periwinkle base with violet to pink to rose goldish shifting shimmer and a really soft linear holographic effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer | Defiant

Defiant is a seafoam green to steel blue to magenta violet pastel multichrome with a super soft linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The shift on this one is much more vibrant in person.

Vapid Lacquer | Happy Freakin’ New Year 2020

It’s a new year with new beginnings, so starting it off right with Happy Freakin’ New Year 2020!

This is an intense silver linear holographic with a very subtle green to violet shift, as well as magenta to gold to green iridescent micro flakes mixed in. The flakes are pretty, but camera shy. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

On first coat it’s fairly sheer and can probably be used as a topper as well, but it builds up beautifully.

At one point this year, I honestly didn’t think there would be another dedicated Vapid Lacquer post. Myself and the other mods and admins didn’t know what the future held and found out each twist and turn along with the rest of the group. We knew (as Krys mentioned) that it wasn’t necessarily goodbye, but more ‘see you later’ – we just didn’t know when ‘later’ would be. It was possible ‘later’ was just in shops like Polish Pickup, so to have another dedicated post means a lot to me and makes me hopeful for the future of Vapid.

A lot of group members and their support helped Vapid Lacquer keep moving. The amount of love and support Krys and the brand received helped her push forward and really dig deep to try to make this work – and because of this, she wanted to do a group exclusive preorder. As an admin, I received a lot of messages as well – and it warmed my heart, so I can only imagine what it did for Krys.
