Happy Friday! Tomorrow Vapid Lacquer has their May 2023 Release coming… and I have it here to share now!
All 7 shades are either shimmery, flakes or both. One has reflective glitters in it… as well as shimmer and flakes. To see these swatched, head over to my YouTube:
For all photos seen here I am wearing Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto. I am also using Vapid Lacquer Commitments Issues Peel Off Latex Base Coat and Vapid Lacquer Quick Dry Top Coat.
All 7 shades shown are on the sheerer side and builds up – except for the 2 jelly based shades, those remain sheer and if you have strong VNL – it will show through.
Again – these release tomorrow at 2pm Central. All polishes will only have about 100 bottles made. This set is loosely inspired by Road Trip Season and the whole vibe around the adventure.

Vapid Lacquer | Chasing Sunsets
Chasing Sunsets is a soft coral pink crelly base loaded with pink to copper to gold to green color shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Give Me Palm Trees
Give Me Palm Trees is a translucent deep purple jelly base with iridescent flakes that shift magenta to pink to copper to gold. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Whether you have a strong VNL or not… it will show through this one.
Vapid Lacquer | Hidden Falls
Hidden Falls is a medium aquatic blue jelly base with blue to green to purple iridescent flakes as well as green and silver reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats, Smooth AF Glitter Smoothing topper and glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade will dry with texture due to the reflective glitters.
Vapid Lacquer | Laguna
Laguna is a medium dusty turquoisish aqua crelly with blue to green iridescent flakes and blue to purple to magenta to copper shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Make Contact
Make Contact is a soft, slightly dusty Spring green crelly base with blue to green iridescent flakes, as well as blue to green to magenta to copper to gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Moonlight & Mischief
Moonlight & Mischief is a soft purple crelly base loaded with blue to purple to magenta to copper to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade was sheerer on first coat than I expected, but it does build up nicely.
Vapid Lacquer | Real Life Watermelon Emoji
Real Life Watermelon Emoji is a juicy watermelon red leaning coral jelly base with green to purple to pink iridescent flakes and a subtle sprinkling of loose linear holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This one isn’t as sheer as Give Me Palm Trees – but your VNL will still show through no matter what.
Vapid Lacquer | May 2023 Release
For this release my top picks in order are: Moonlight & Mischief, Chasing Sunsets and Make Contact. All 7 are beautifully done, and I do like the slightly brighter hues that aren’t neon but still bright happy shades.
