Happy Saturday! I feel like I’ve been running all over the place. I’m still prepping a blog sale, plus I recently got over a cold my sweet little child brought home and lovingly shared. But I’m also working on blog and YouTube content. We have a few things ready to go – and first up today is the Vapid Lacquer June 2023 Releases!
I’m a little behind with this post – USPS held onto this package for dear life – and the release was a couple hours ago. You can find all of these on the Vapid Lacquer website, I know they were fairly limited so I am unsure if any are sold out.

This is a 10 piece release, and 5 of the shades are brand spanking new, while 5 are returning shades. One of the returning shades – Whatz-Her-Face – is a V3 (version 3) This is the closest to the original Krys could get, but there is a subtle difference. I no longer have the original to compare though. The rest of the returning holos are the original formula.
Along with my typical Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base Coat, I also used Vapid Lacquer Pessimist (black creme), Smooth AF! Glitter Smoothing Topper and High Shine Quick Dry Top Coat. All of these can be found in the Vapid Lacquer shop (except Commitment Issues – someone bought the last few bottles… not sure who would do that)

Vapid Lacquer | Bad Bitch Magick
Bad Bitch Magick is a clear base loaded with iridescent rainbow flakes, with added white, black and opalescent glitters. I used 2 coats, Smooth AF! glitter smoothing topper and top coat for these photos. Final photo shows 1 coat of Bad Bitch Magick over Pessimist.
Vapid Lacquer | Berry Me Deep
Berry Me Deep is a dark blackberry toned purple linear holo. I used 2 coats, Apipila Water Based Top Coat and glossy top coat for these photos.
Why did I use the Apipila? This is a bleeding purple. If you do normal top coat alone, the purple base pigment will “bleed” into the top coat and alter. A thin coat of water based top coat (UNT Peelable Base is also water based and works for this) will add a protective layer between the polish and the QDTC to prevent bleeding.
Vapid Lacquer | Bombshell
Bombshell is a pink leaning ruby red crelly base with linear holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Catch Me If You Can
Catch Me If You Can is a deep teal jelly based linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Electric Love
Electric Love is a clear based topper that can also be worn alone. This is a clear base loaded with pink to purple to blue shifting shimmer, as well as micro to medium neon glitters. I used 2 coats and glossy top coat for these photos, the final photo shows 1 coat over Vapid Lacquer Pessimist.
Vapid Lacquer | Just Vibing
Just Vibing is a dusty coral crelly base with red, periwinkle, violet and white glitters, as well as blue to green iridescent micro glitters. I used 2 coats, Smooth AF! Glitter Smoothing Topper and glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Red Rock Crystal
Red Rock Crystal is an almost light rusty, ever so slightly pink leaning red jelly based linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Whatz-Her-Face V3
Whatz-Her-Face V3 is the closest to the original version Krys could get. I don’t have the original to compare but this is a classic purply berry jelly based linear holographic with a strong blue flame. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | Who Needs Luck
Who Needs Luck is a vibrant grassy green jelly based linear holo with a strong golden flame. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | You Really Blue It
You Really Blue It is the sheerest of the holos in this release. This is a cobalt blue jelly based linear holographic. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Vapid Lacquer | June 2023 Releases
I really love the new additions, and seeing some of the older holos coming back. Most of these returning holos came out before I was even an admin for Vapid… except I think Bombshell and You Really Blue It.. pretty sure those came out while I was still a Vapid Mod.
My top picks? Electric Love, Berry Me Deep and Whatz-Her-Face V3.
