I’m starting this post fairly late at night, so I’m hoping I get through it tonight. I have the Vapid Lacquer February 2018 Releases to share!

The Vapid Lacquer February 2018 Releases consists of the Basic Bitch Collection, which is a gorgeous array of neutrals ranging from light and shimmer to dark and bold! We’ll also see this years Birthday Bitch with a new spin, as well as Criminal Mischief!

These are all set to release on February 17th (my son’s actual birthday!) along with the restocking of some customer favorites, and the addition of some new scents and revamped favorites!

Since these are neutrals, I do want to point out that I am very fair skinned and I have cool undertones. Neutrals can be tricky with all the undertones. My foundations are usually Fair Cool Toned foundations. I’m right a few notches above Porcelain in that category. At the end of the post I will be linking to other swatchers Vapid sent this collection to so you can click through and see these beauties on a variety of skintones. Vapid has a nice range of pale to deep tones, which is just perfect for people to find which is closest to them.

Let’s jump right in! We’ll start with Criminal Mischief and Birthday Bitch 2018, then move into the Basic Bitch Collection.

Criminal Mischief

Criminal Mischief is the new red! It’s a deep berry leaning red laced with a stunning shimmer that gives it a metallic feel. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Birthday Bitch 2018

We have a new spin on the stunning yearly shade! Every year it changes a tad, but this year – it’s thermal! Birthday Bitch is a gorgeous, rich turquoise while cold and transitions to a dove grey when warm. It’s packed with scattered holographic, pink to gold to green shifting flecks and subtle color shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Now we move onto the Basic Bitch Collection! This is a 9 piece neutral collection with the perfect touch of shimmer!

Basic Bitch V03

Basic Bitch V03 is a soft, opalescent like petal pink. It’s the palest of the shades (I’ll be doing these in order from light to dark) I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V07

Since I am cool toned, this was the only shade that gave me lobster hands because it’s such a warm shade. This is the shade that gave me the idea to link to the other swatchers since my cool toned skin pulled out a lot of the warmer yellows within it.

Basic Bitch V07 is a warm, light sand pearly shade with cool toned magenta shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V09

Basic Bitch V09 is a light, dusty cool toned pink with gold shimmer.  I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V11

Basic Bitch V11 is my top pick from the Basic Bitch collection. This is a slightly dusty cool toned rose pink with aqua shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V15

Basic Bitch V15 is a warm toned medium rose tinted beige with silver shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V21

Basic Bitch V21 is another that I really loved on! To me this is a warm, toned down rose gold with loads of pink shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top  coat for these photos

Basic Bitch V29

Basic Bitch V29 is a stunning, bold rose gold with gold shimmer and a very subtle touch of scattered holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V31

Basic Bitch V31 is a cool toned, slightly dusky milk chocolate brown with bronze shimmer and subtle scattered holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Basic Bitch V33

Finally we have Basic Bitch V33! This is the richest of all the shades. Basic Bitch V33 is a warm dark chocolate brown with coppery shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer February 2018 Releases

There you have it! The Vapid Lacquer February 2018 Releases! I love that Vapid did a neutral set for a large variety of skin tones, including a little something for cool and warm tones for each set as the shades deepened. Of course I love Criminal Mischief and the new Birthday Bitch too! I had no application issues really, BUT because of the shimmery and sometimes almost metallic like look of these shades – some brushstrokes are visible.
