Today I have Tweexy the wearable nail polish holder on the blog. When I first received an email to review it, I was on the fence about the whole concept. I thought it over for a bit and decided that I needed to try it out.
So what exactly is Tweexy? Tweexy eliminates the need for a surface to place your polish bottle on. Easily open your nail polish bottle using one hand. Polish in a car, on a bed, standing, in a restroom, on a train or bus, at the pool or beach, on a couch or chair.
Here’s a bit of a closer look from Tweexy. The top portion (crown) is a little on the larger side and fits every bottle of nail polish I can think of, and I tried several. The bottle grips on the inside of the holder make it easy to put a bottle in Tweexy, press down and twist the cap off. Of course, if your polish bottle is sealed shut – that part won’t work as well. The rings are expandable so they are easy to wear and remove without ruining your manicure.
To get an idea of how large the crown of Tweexy is, here is a top view photo. The Tweexy itself is fairly lightweight, so although it’s large, it’s not uncomfortable.
Tweexy is made of silicone so it’s flexible and won’t break easily. It comes in 3 colors – bonbon pink, spa green and sapphire night. Sapphire Night has glitter in it (as you can see from the above photo) while Bonbon Pink and Spa Green are flat colors with no glitter.
The expandable rings are sturdy on, but very easy to expand for removal and to put on. You can also slide them on like a normal ring, but because you don’t want to remove them that way, you can just grab the crown and pull up and Tweexy
easily removes.
I have a lot of photos for this with various polish bottles so you can see I tried different ones.
OPI is one of the larger bottles I have, and fit inside Tweexy comfortably.
Tweexy also comfortably holds thin mini bottles.
My only slight issue with Tweexy is that I wear a chunky ring (Swarovski Nirvana Petite) and I never take it off… mainly because I can’t. Because of this, the Tweexy doesn’t fit all the way to the base of my fingers for a more comfortable hold. I twisted my ring around for these photos and it helped a bit.
Tweexy is a lot sturdier than I originally thought it would be, and no matter what polish bottle I placed in it to use – it never felt top heavy or uneven. It’s incredibly stable.
I don’t generally hold my hand like this to paint my nails though. I flip my hand over and bend my fingers and paint towards me (if that makes sense?) so to continually use Tweexy I would really need to break that. Otherwise I will make a mess and polish will dump all over. I’m clumsy, what can I say?
Do I find Tweexy practical? I actually do. Clumsiness aside, if I’m in a situation where I can’t be at my desk or a table like surface, this is definitely more comfortable than finding a way to hold the bottle and paint my nails (like in the car since Nick usually drives)
Price: $14.95
Where To Buy: Amazon
Available Colors: Spa Green, Bonbon Pink & Sapphire Blue
I’m actually happy I decided to try Tweexy out. Will I use it a lot? Probably not. BUT I can think of situations where it would be good to have one available. I’ve already placed one in my travel bag.
So what do you think? Would you use Tweexy or not? Let me know in the comments below. If there are any questions you have about Tweexy , feel free to post them and I’ll do my best to answer!

Thanks for the great review Lisa… You actually can use tweexy to polish your nails the way you are used to. I’ll email you an image to show you how others who paint like you with their fingers bent and nails facing you , are doing it. If you find the photo useful, feel free to post it.
Yes please do! I think I know how you mean but I’m definitely interested in seeing it!
I was hoping this was not a cheap product. I paint my nails flat on a surface, but because I have cats that are immediately interested in everything around me once I’m stationary. I’m forced to polish holding the bottle between my fingers while I polish so they don’t knock it over from bumping the table, or having them scoot it off the table to get closer to my hand to get head rubs. Needless to say, it gets extremely uncomfortable to polish like that after a while. I definitely want to grab one of these to try out. Thanks for the review!
In situations like that I think this would be perfect for you Liz! Even with more movement, the grips in the crown make it so you can move your hand around without the bottle dropping out too if the cats start nudging your hand. It’s definitely not a cheap feeling product at all!
I do paint my nails like you showed. When I first saw this, I thought, no way. But now after reading your review, my answer is maybe? I don’t really “polish on the run” but I don’t like when I spill polish because of kids or cats.
I thought it was incredibly gimmicky when I first heard about it, but after trying it, I do think there is a legitimate use for it. It may not be for everyone, but I can see a good chunk of polish lovers finding it incredibly useful
I don’t paint my nails with my hand laying flat on the table. I think I do the same as you, I bend my hand and paint my nails facing to myself. I basically use th same position that we take for swatches. That way the ring would face down so no way for me!
I don’t paint that way either, which is why this would work for road trips or other occasions similar when you don’t have a flat, steady surface handy
I would forget and tip it all over myself.
That’s what I was worried about, but I made it through 2 swatch sessions testing it and no spills!
It’s nice to see a lot of different bottles sit steadily inside this nifty tool!
Yeah, I was expecting minis to be an issue, but they fit just as snug as normal size
I also think it might be more awkward for actually painting your nails – I do polish away from me, but even so, I turn my hand horizontally to paint my thumbnail. I can see polish going everywhere!
Once you have it on, it’s actually easier than it seems.
Hmm, this seems like a neat idea but I don’t think I’d really use it that often. I can’t polish my nails laying flat like that, so I’d be worried to spill polish everywhere haha. Great review though!
I don’t see myself using it in normal situations, but I do see it as useful for a few instances. Definitely not an every day thing
I think this would be useful when stamping or doing nail art. Besides that I don’t really hold my hand like this and my fingers are really not that long or big enough to put it on my knuckle. I don’t think anyone’s are!?! lol. This is a great idea; in theory and I really like the pretty sparkle design.
I don’t hold the bottle like this either, which is why for me it might be useful in a car or situation where table space isn’t really there
Waaw,.. This seems to be interesting tool,.. Nice review
This just seems incredibly awkward to me. The colors are a lot of fun!
I thought the same thing until I actually put it on. It actually feels quite comfortable and isn’t too bad
Gosh, I always seem to want to paint my nails while I’m sitting on the couch – this would make that so much easier! I’m definitely interested in Tweexy!
It would make it easier :)
We saw this review and decided to purchase the item! We find it to be quite useful and durable. It definitely holds the nail polish bottle in place securely! Thanks!
