I have a new-to-me indie brand on the blog tonight and it’s Tux Polish! This is their 7 piece Halloween collection named Holo-ween Night. As a whole, this is a 7 piece collection, but within the 7 piece collection there are 3 shades that are kind of a “sub set” called the Candy Corn Trio and are the colors of Candy Corn, as well as a second “sub set” of glitters called the Wicked Glitters Trio.
I hope that made sense. I’m sick with a cold, have a good dose of medicine in my system and hope this all makes perfect sense.
Let’s start this off with the Candy Corn Trio, then move onto the Wicked Glitters Trio, then we’ll look at the 7th bonus shade.
Candy Corn Trio
The Candy Corn Trio is the first sub set within the collection. The Candy Corn Trio consists of 3 creme shades that make up the colors of candy corn! These work well together and should water marble, gradient and work well with other nail art ideas perfect for Halloween. Below is a closer look at the colors.
Poltergeist
Poltergeist is a white creme with a fine silver shimmer throughout. The shimmer is incredibly delicate. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Jack O’ Lantern
Jack O’ Lantern is a bright, almost neon, orange crelly. The formula on this one was flawless and I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Candy Corn
Candy Corn is a bright sunny yellow creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Wicked Glitters Trio
The second sub set within the collection is the Wicked Glitters Trio. This consists of 2 glitter top coats as well as a white based crelly glitter shade. A closer look at all 3 are below.
Holo-Ween Night
Holo-ween Night is a clear base with orange hex and bar glitters as well as black shred glitters mixed in with orange, yellow, black and silver holo micro glitter. I used 2 coats over Poltergeist and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Wicked Witch of the Westside
Wicked Witch Of The Westside is another glitter top coat and this one is packed with green hex and shred glitters as well as black shred glitter and black and silver holographic micro glitters. This one was more densely packed than Holo-ween Night and only required 1 coat over Candy Corn for these photos.
Pumpkin Witch Fairy
Pumpkin Witch Fairy is my favorite in the collection. The base is a bit sheer, so I did put down 2 thin coats of Poltergeist as a base first, and then 2 coats of Pumpkin Witch Fairy over it with a glossy top coat.
Pumpkin Witch Fairy is a sheer white crelly base packed with black matte triangles, lime green, bright orange and purple dot glitter and microglitters.
Vampire Punch
Vampire Punch is the only shade not in a trio set and it’s possibly my favorite. This is a pink toned red linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Tux Polish Holo-Ween Night Collection
I find this set incredibly fun for Halloween. I also like the idea of “sub sets” within the collection for easy ordering if you just want the glitters or just want the cremes. Of course you can also purchase it as a whole 7 piece set if you wish. I had no application issues, and the only thing I would mention again is to use a white base under Pumpkin Fairy Witch since the base is a little sheerer.
Price: $7.50 – $8.55 Each Full Size | Candy Corn Trio $20.00 | Wicked Glitters Trio $22.00 | Full Collection $45.00
