Holiday Flake Out Collection
I have a rather photo heavy post for you tonight before I head to bed. This took a bit, but was totally worth it. Take a look at the Top Shelf Lacquer Holiday Flake Out Collection!
The Top Shelf Lacquer Holiday Flake Out Collection is a 12 piece collection full of ultra chrome flakes and a smattering of holo. Some are in tinted jelly bases and a few are just in clear bases. Almost all the bases are sheer enough to layer or wear alone. I used 2 coats for every photo here, so you will see some are sheerer than others (aside from the clear bases obviously)
Let’s jump right in since there is a lot to look at. Sorry for any typos, it’s late and my eyes are a little blurry.

Top Shelf Lacquer Holiday Flake Out Collection Overview
Whew that was a lot of shades to show!
Ok to start (since I know some are probably thinking it) I only did 2 coats for each shade, and I do relatively thin coats, so there is a lot of visible nail line and some are sheer. These DO build up nicely or can be used over a creme base to speed up the process. I found with my lighting, the ultra chrome flakes really popped if I left the bases a little on the sheerer side. If you do normal coats, and probably at least 3, the VNL will be reduced a lot more.
Overall I really liked this collection and the use of scattered holo and different ultra chrome flakes. If you prefer toppers, then Happy Elf, Winter Ruby, Snowball Cocktail and Candy Cane Martini are more for you. If you like the jelly bases – then the other 8. The only 2 that got amazing coverage in 2 thin coats were Fireside Delight and Chocolate Raspberry Martini.
Application was really nice and the amount of flakes was pretty much perfect. They weren’t so densely packed that it was ALL you see, but not so sparse that they were a pain to get out. Perfect.
