Happy Sunday! I’m rushing around this morning and trying to stay warm. We had out first real snowfall yesterday and it’s a wee bit chilly this morning. Today I have the Tonic Polish x Paradox Polish Black Hearted Beauties & Lacquered In White Collab Box to share!
The Tonic Polish x Paradox Polish special collaboration box was created to celebrate the anniversaries of the Black Hearted Beauties and Lacquered In White Facebook groups, and will include one black and one white themed polish from both Tonic Polish and Paradox Polish!
My nails and lighting are a little different in the sets of photos. I originally got the Tonic Polish half in September and swatched them with the Fall 2020 release not realizing it was not for that launch. I also didn’t know the white shade was solar, so I had to redo that. Then Lindsey was sick and the release date was pushed off.
So this has been a little bit in the making and it’s finally here! So let’s jump in!
Tonic Polish | Blue Moon (Solar)
Blue Moon is a luminescent milky white crelly base with blue shimmer that dries down to a satin finish. I show it both alone and with glossy top coat. This is also a solar shade that transitions to a beautiful blurple shade in UV light. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did use a UV flashlight for these photos. It’s been dipping down into the low 30’s here (we had snow!) and this California girl isn’t ready to go out in these temps for solar photos.
Tonic Polish | Serenade In Blue
Serenade in Blue is a matte black jelly base with iridescetn flakes that shift indigo blue to purple to burgundy. I used 2 coats for these photos and show it matte as well as glossy.
Paradox Polish | Fairy Blanket (Solar)
Fairy Blanket is a white crelly base with purple to violet to gold shimmer flecks mixed in and it shifts to a violet with UV light. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did use a UV light for the UV transition, because again – it’s cold outside and I’m dedicated, but I have my limits. If it dips below 70 I shiver and.. it’s been in the 30’s.
Paradox Polish | Eclipse
Eclipse is a black jelly with purple to violet to gold shifting shimmer and purple to violet to gold iridescent flakes with scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This one dries with a VERY mild texture, but you should only need 1 coat of top coat to smooth, It really wasn’t super noticeable.

So there we have it, the Tonic Polish x Paradox Polish Black Hearted Beauties & Lacquered In White Collab Box! At the current time these will be sold as a set only. In early 2021, both brands can sell theirs separately.
The photos with the Solar shift, in person the shift is stronger (again, I used a UV flashlight) but solar shifts don’t last long once you come out of the UV light. So my photos show them already transitioning back to normal. Unlike thermals, holding the new color for photos can be tricky.
