October 2018 Collection & BFTV Shades

I have 12 shades to share with you tonight that make up the October 2018 Collection & BFTV Shades!

9 of these shades are brand new to the lineup and are the October Collection. 4 are Back From The Vault Shades (BFTV) that I will also be sharing in the same post so you have most of the October 14th releases in one spot. I do have the Tonic half of the Polish Palette as well, and those will go up in their own post once the Rogue Lacquer half arrives.

We’ve got a lot of ground to cover and I’m losing steam so let’s breeze through these before I fall asleep! We’re going to look at the new October 2018 Collection first, then move into the BFTV shades.

Tonic Nail Polish | Witchy Woman

Witchy Woman is a black jelly base with a strong coral red to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Monster Mash

Monster Mash is a periwinkle (Cold) to lilac Warm) shifting thermal with bright green to purple shimmery flecks mixed in. It also glows in the dark, but I didn’t know that until about 2 seconds ago – so I’ll update with those pictures tomorrow night. Updated!

This shade naturally dries down to a matte finish, which I quite liked, but I did add a closeup photo of it glossy as well in it’s cold state.

3 thin coats were used.

Tonic Nail Polish | Thriller

Thriller is a dark navy blue jelly base packed with red to green shifting unicorn pee shimmer, as well as silver ultra holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Red Right Hand

Red Right Hand is a pale grey creme base with bright red to gold shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Don’t Fear The Reaper

Don’t Fear The Reaper is a pale grey creme base with blue to purple shifting shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Time Warp

Time Warp is a blue grey scattered holographic with blue to purple shifting shimmer flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Walk Through Fire

Walk Through Fire is a greyish blue scattered holographic with red to green shifting shimmer flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | I Put A Spell On You

I Put A Spell On You is a smokey purple based gold to silver shifting multichrome with scattered holographic. Because of the multichrome pigment used in this base, it gives the multichrome a gold to bronze to chocolate brown to smokey purple looking shift which is incredible.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Snow Glowbe

Snow Glowbe is a limited edition red to green shifting Unicorn Pee topper with medium and small orange to gold to green shifting hex glitters mixed into a pink tinted base. It also glows an orangish green in the dark. 

I used this 2 ways – the first is by itself in 4 thin coats. The second set is 1 coat of Snow Glowbe over OPI I Saw… U Saw… We Saw… Warsaw.

Snow Glowbe is limited to the Halloween Season only. It will be released again in December, but without the glow effect.

Tonic Nail Polish | Pepper

The first BFTV shade is Pepper! This is a deep, dusty  purple base with unicorn pee pigment that shifts from red to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Oops No 7 (Mulled X)

Oops No 7 (Mulled X) is from Polish Con, and this is a deep berry linear holographic with red shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | Firefly

Firefly is a blue navy jelly base loaded with red to green shifting shimmer as well as red to gold to green shifting iridescent flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish | River

River is a medium, vibrant lavender purple to bright blue shifting thermal base with red to green shifting shimmer flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat.

It dries down to a matte, so I showed it in both glossy and matte closeup.

Tonic Nail Polish October 2018 Collection & BFTV Shades

Whew! Okay so lots of gorgeous shades in here. I will update the post to include both Monster Mash and River as a Glow In The Dark. I knew they were thermal, but not the glowy part – so oops.

Everything applied really well and I’m quite happy with all of the shades. My favorites though have to be: River, Firefly, Walk Through Fire and I Put A Spell On You.

Prices aren’t fully set yet, but once they are – I will update you all as well.
