Ahh things are so hectic right now! We’re getting ready to head out in the morning for Sacramento for the WWE Event for my son’s 12th birthday festivities. So many things to do and I thought I had more time, but I’ve always been kind of bad at judging timeframes. All of the boys are incredibly excited and talking about it and deciding sleeping arrangements for the hotel room after. I’m starting to get pretty excited as well. I’m not big into WWE, but I’m so happy that the weekends (and my pay periods) fell into place so he could do this for his birthday party.

Even though I’m short on time, I figured I’d try to squeeze a blog post in. I don’t know what time we will be back home Sunday, but I do know that I’m going without a laptop – soooo I wanted to get this post up before I leave since it also releases on Sunday. Who’s ready for the Tonic Nail Polish February 2018 Releases?

This collection might remind you of some previous releases. That’s good because they are the base mix of previous releases with a little more oomph added to them. Not all of them, but a chunk of them. On top of the new unicorn pee loveliness, there’s a new magnetic and a stunning holographic.

Let’s jump right in!

Uniporn Adorned

Uniporn Adorned is the dressed up version of Uniporn! This is a sheer red jelly base with red to green shifting unicorn pigment, with the addition of red to orange to gold to green iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Happenstance

Happenstance is the dressed up version of Serendipity! This is a warm purple jelly base with red to green shifting unicorn pigment, with the addition of red to orange to gold to green iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bauble

Bauble is the sister polish to Curio! This is a cool toned blurple jelly base with red to green shifting unicorn pigment, with the addition of red to orange to gold to green iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Necromantic

Necromantic is a black jelly base with red to green shifting unicorn pigment and red to orange to gold to green iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Helpless

Helpless is a new multichrome magnetic from Tonic! Now, I had to do straight swatches because I put the magnet in a “safe place” and… well it’s a REALLY safe place. So once I locate it, I’ll redo these. Sorry. I got the magnet last month around the time a lot was going on, and I honestly don’t know where I put it. Things happen, I’m scattered. It’s here somewhere.

Helpless is a deep teal base with multichrome magnetic shimmer that shifts from red violet to gold to green with indigo iridescent flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. This is the polish on it’s own – so for those who aren’t into magnetics – this is what you get without the magnet!

Ambrosia

The final shade is Ambrosia! Ambrosia is the sister to Emberlight, which was released as part of the Seasonal Indie Box in the Fall of 2017/ This is a deep blue leaning teal base with red to gold shifting multichrome shimmer and a scattered holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Nail Polish February 2018 Releases

Another gorgeous release from Tonic!  If you enjoyed the Unicorn Pee Collection, then you’ll probably want several of these gorgeous shades. I do love the addition of the flakes to add more shift to the polishes. I had no application issues with any of these, but some are a little sheerer, so 3 coats were needed with most of these.

My Top Picks: Ambrosia, Necromantic & Happenstance

Price: $15.00 for Uniporn Adorned, Necromantic, Bauble, Happenstance | $13.00 for Ambrosia & Helpless | $2.00 for Magnet for Helpless

Release Date:  February 11th at 2pm CST
