Capture Time

Tonic Nail Polish has another exclusive coming out! This time it’s for the Retro Rewind Lounge Facebook Group!

This is part of a series in Retro Rewind Lounge called “Like A Version” and it’s a nod to older polishes. It’s not a dupe to the original, but the featured makers interpretation of the polish.

Tonic Nail Polish took on Misa’s Decadent Drifter as her inspiration and created Capture Time! Again, not a dupe, so it’s not identical to the original.

Tonic Nail Polish Capture Time

Tonic Nail Polish Capture Time is a multichrome that shifts from a slightly subdued violet to pink to peach to bronzey gold to green with a hint of blue at the edges. It has a “smokey” quality to it that softens the overall look of the polish. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

It has a shimmery appearance vs the straight metallic look, and you can see tiny pops of color from what looks like a very very light scattering of holo microglitters.

Tonic Nail Polish Capture Time

Tonic Nail Polish Capture Time is an interesting shade and I love that it has that more subdued look to it in person. Application was really easy. The first coat looked a little on the sheer side, but it built up nicely.

You do need to join the Retro Rewind Lounge Facebook Group to purchase this polish as well.
