June 2018 Caribbean Drinks
It’s been quite a weekend! I feel like I’ve been running around the entire time, but it was nice to get out and get so much done. Jacob is now at the Blink 182 concert, and even though I trust the people he’s with, I still have that mom anxiety thing going on. So I’m a little out of it right now and trying to keep busy. He’s been texting (not by my request, I just asked for a text when he gets back to his friends house after) to tell me he loves me and misses me. Even at 12, it completely melts my heart when he does that. My little mama’s boy.
Anyways, to keep my mind off my anxiety a bit, I’m typing away posting! I actually typed 7 posts today, this is #8. 1 went live this morning and 6 are in drafts for brand review. Yeah – keeping busy! For post #8 of the day we’re going to be looking at the June 2018 Holo Hookup Box!
Look at those bright, cheery colors! Summer, here we come! Top Shelf Lacquer is joining the team this month, so of course it needed to be drink themed. The theme for June 2018 is Caribbean Drinks!
As always, I’ll do a quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!
This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it – Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT dimension and Cupcake Polish. As I already mentioned, the guest maker for June is Top Shelf Lacquer.
Let’s jump right in – we have the polishes in the box, and then some stamping I did. Still practicing! I didn’t have any drink themed stamps, so we’re doing tropicalish flower looks instead.
Cupcake Polish – Sangria in St. Thomas
Cupcake Polish Sangria in St. Thomas is a bright, warm purple linear holographic with iridescent glitter and subtle blue shimmer.
I used What’s Up Nais plate B013 plate for this design and stamped with Hit The Bottle Bubblegum Bliss.
Different Dimension – Midori Sours in Montserrat
Different Dimension Midori Sours in Montserrat is a neon chartreuse linear holographic with added shimmers. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Midori Sours used to be my drink of choice and this kind of made me crave one.
For this look I used What’s Up Nails plate B018 and I stamped with Hit The Bottle Iced Mauve-jito.
Glisten & Glow – Mai Tais in Martinique
Glisten & Glow Mai Tais in Martinique is a bright pink linear holographic shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
For this stamped look I used the What’s Up Nails plate B018 and used Hit The Bottle Arctic Cloudberry to stamp with.
Top Shelf Lacquer – Bahama Blues Cocktail
Top Shelf Lacquer Bahama Blues Cocktail is a bright blue linear holographic with blue glass flecks and a slight purple shift. This is the sheerer of the 4 shades and has a jelly like base. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
For this look I used What’s Up Nails plate B004 and Hit The Bottle Peppermint Zombie to stamp with
The Holo Hookup June 2018 Caribbean Drinks
This is a fun, bright month and I really loved all the shades (I almost always do anyway!)
All the bright shades are making me so excited for Summer and surprisingly enough, they didn’t freak out my camera as much as usual. They were fun to wear alone as well as a base for stamping.
Price: $40.00

Cupcake Polish Sangria in St. Thomas is perfection!
These are very pretty holos, nice swatches!
All four are gorgeous for summer. I love Midori Sours in Montserrat most because I love the drink, I love green, and I used to live in an area called Montserrat
everything is pretty, even the neon green one!
The vote here is for the blue and coral polishes and the same for the stamp!
Love Cupcake Polish so much. I want that for sure. And I’d go mad for Glisten & Glow. I wish they were sold separately.
These are all perfect polishes for the Summer. I particularly like Sangria in St Thomas. Your floral nail art is so pretty!
Love the bright fun colors! Perfect for the Season!
I tried but I could not pick just one favorite. They are all soooo pretty <3 Loved your swatches!
