How are we on April already? This year is moving way too fast! Tonight I have The Holo Hookup April 2019 Mythical Creatures to share!
As always, I’ll do a quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!
This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it – Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT dimension and Cupcake Polish. The guest maker this month is Illyrian Polish!
Each shade in the box has holographic elements of some sort in it. It may be scattered, linear, subtle or in your face, but an element of it is there. Some makers may incorporate other elements such as shimmer, glitter or flakes – but it will be in conjunction with holo.
The theme this month is Mythical Creatures! Ready to see what they created?
Cupcake Polish | Nereid
Nereid is a pale dove grey scattered holographic base with blue to pink to orange iridescent flakes, orange to green to red shifting glitters and blue to pink shifting shimmers. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I used Maniology’s BM-XL211 for this nail art, as well as Boys Tears & Lime Pine stamping polishes.
Different Dimension | Alicorn
Alicorn is a pastel purple creme based linear holographic with iridescent flakes, holographic microglitters and color shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
For this image I used What’s Up Nails B012 Stamping Plate and B014.
Glisten & Glow | Centaur
Centaur is a pale pastel pink crelly based scattered holographic with color shifting irirdescent flakes, as well as pink holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
For this image I used Maniology BM-XL213 stamping plate.
Illyrian Polish | Sylph
Sylph is a pale sea foam green jelly based linear holographic with micro holo flakes, holo sparkles, teal to purple, pink to gold to green and gold to pink to orange iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
For this image I used What’s Up Nails B014 plate (fairy.. hard to tell since my nails weren’t long enough to house the full image) and Maniology plate BM-XL211.
The Holo Hookup April 2019 | Mythical Creatures
This set has me so ready for Spring! I also had a lot of fun with the stamping within this set. Yes my stamping is minimal still in comparison – but I enjoyed finding plates that would sort of match up with the theme.
Usually I have a favorite within a group – I don’t always say what it is since you can’t really cherry pick a monthly box. However – this is the first time I think since I started showing The Holo Hookup that I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite. All 4 are colors I would wear and I love the elements picked for each shade.
I also really liked the fact they didn’t choose the Mythical Creatures that we see a lot in other collabs. I actually had to look 2 of these up to see what they were.
