Good morning and Happy Sunday! It’s my first and only day off this week, and my body is completely screaming at me. Tax season is in full swing and it’s getting super busy. I’m hoping to get a lot of swatching done today, but also hammer out a few posts that are just slightly overdue.

First up today we’ll be looking at the Supermoon Lacquer We Are Bulletproof: Wings Edition & Bias Birthday Duo.

Altogether this post will have 10 polishes. 7 of them make up the We Are Bulletproof: Wings Edition collection and 2 are the birthday duo. 1 shade is a Limited Edition.

Let’s jump right in and take a look! We’ll start with the Bias Birthday Duo and move into the collection.

Some photos you’ll see a little of the bandaid I’m sporting due to a file folder cut on my finger. Lemme tell you – polish remover and cuts don’t mix well. Expletives were said during this swatch session.

Supermoon Lacquer | #SOPE

#SOPE is the Limited Edition shade. This is a red-violet based multichrome that shifts purple to red and is filled with matching color shifting aurora pigment, violet to gold color shifting shimmer, violet microglitters and purple pearl microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This polish is dedicated to Emily Kelly-Hollier as a small way of saying ‘thanks’ for taking the Mardi to see BTS’s Love Yourself Tour on September 15th, 2018. 

Supermoon Lacquer | Never Mind

Never Mind is a pale, dusty mint creme based linear holographic with green to blue multichrome pigment, teal to aqua shifting aurora pigment, green to blue color shifting shimmer, turquoise shimmer, green sparks and iridescent teal to blue microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Overall the formula was good, but if you lay it on too thick you may come across self leveling issues. The opacity is good, so I would recommend thinner coats for a level application.

Supermoon Lacquer | Seesaw

Seesaw is a deep wine red linear holographic base with red to bronze to copper multichrome pigment, red to gold shifting aurora pigment, red to yellow color shifting shimmer, red sparks, rose pearl microflakes and red holographic and metallic microglitter. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Supermoon Lacquer | Awake

Awake is a deep teal creme base with cyan to purple multichrome pigment, blue to red and turquoise to violet color shifting shimmer, violet sparks, purple pearl microflakes, iridescent teal to blue and blue to purple microglitters and holographic gold and pink microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In some lighting this looks more subdued emerald green, but others it’s a stunning teal.

Supermoon Lacquer | Begin

Begin is blue to red shifting multichrome linear holographic with matching color shifting shimmer, silver to white and red sparks, red and rose pink pearl microflakes and holographic copper and red microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Supermoon Lacquer | First Love

First Love is a deep grey creme based scattered holographic with cyan to blue to purple to copper multichrome pigment, red and silver shimmer, blue, copper, gold and red sparks, red pearl microflakes, iridescent gold flakes and holographic gold microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Supermoon Lacquer | Lie

Lie is a dusty, sky blue creme with bronze to purple to green and pink to violet to copper multichrome pigment, pink to aqua color shifting aurora pigment, purple to green color shifting shimmer, silver to white shimmer, aqua, gold and violet sparks and lavender microflakes.

Much like Never Mind, I ran across some self leveling issues, but nothing too horrible and for the most part they leveled out nicely. I do recommend thinner coats to avoid this, the opacity is really good, so thin coats cover beautifully.

Supermoon Lacquer | Mama

Mama is a red-orange base with copper to gold to green multichrome pigment, bronze to green color shifting aurora pigment, magenta to gold, orange to green and red to yellow color shifting shimmer, red sparks, rainbow pearl microflakes, iridescent rainbow microglitter and holographic gold and silver microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is slightly more bronzey in person. The lighting brings out a lot of the red tones, but in person the main color looks more like a red tinged bronze.

Supermoon Lacquer | Reflection

Reflection is a dark denim blue scattered holographic base with blue to purple to copper to magenta and cyan to purple multichrome pigment, blue to red and green to pink color shifting shimmer, silver sparks, snow white microflakes and iridescent blue flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Supermoon Lacquer | Stigma

Stigma is a deep purple crelly like base with blue to purple to copper to magenta multichome pigment, purple to copper color shifting aurora pigment, magenta to yellow and violet to gold color shifting shimmer, fuchsia and violet sparks, purple pearl microflakes and holographic gold and violet microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is one of those colors that borders Blurple – so different cameras grab different tones. It’s more on the purple side in person.

Supermoon Lacquer | We Are Bulletproof: Wings Edition & Bias Birthday Duo

I’m loving this release and it’s packed with a variety of colors and finishes. Overall everything was great – all 10 shades only needed 2 coats for full opacity. Only Never Mind and Lie has slight self leveling issues, but thinner coats prevented this.
