It’s just indie love week over here! I received 2 incredible indie packed boxes to share on my blog. Right now I’ll be showing you the Summer’s Last Hurrah Box!
Summer’s Last Hurrah is a box created with 10 “up and coming” indies. All 10 makers involved in this box launched less than a year ago, so this is a fabulous way to sample 10 fairly new brands. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I work with a LOT of indies and absolutely love it. Within this box of 10 up and comers, I’ve only worked with 2 of them – so I discovered 8 new brands myself.
Most of the brands also contributed an extra “goodie” to the package so you get more than just these 10 beautiful polishes. I do have a photo towards the bottom of the extra goodies, but when I received them they weren’t 100% set in stone – so your extras may differ just slightly from mine.
Let’s take a look at this fabulous box, then read at the bottom for purchasing information.
Turtle Tootsie Polishes Air Clearance
Turtle Tootsie contributed Air Clearance to this lovely box! Air Clearance is a lovely aqua blue with a nice teal shimmer that glows as well as a beautiful, subtle scattered holographic effect. I used 2 easy coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Frenzy Polish Seafoam
Frenzy Polish is a brand that has been featured on my blog a couple times now! I believe I started reviewing her brand on her second release back in April.
Frenzy Polish contributed Seafoam to this box. Seafoam is a lightly textured polish designed to be worn without a top coat. This is a seafoam green matte base with white, yellow gold, turquoise and navy blue glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Beach Bunny
When I first received this box, Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer was new to me, but right after I received this box I also received her upcoming collection – so you’ll get to see that on the blog this weekend!
Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer contributed Beach Bunny to this box. Beach Bunny is a vibrant purple linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Lorelei Lacquer Sticky Popsicle Fingers
LoreLei Lacquer contributed Sticky Popsicle Fingers to this lovely box! Sticky Popsicle Fingers is a lavender pink cream base with blue. purple, and pink metallic glitters and holo glitter in various sizes. I sued 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Top Shelf Lacquer Sex On The Beach
Top Shelf Lacquer contributed Sex On The Beach, which is a stunning dark pink jelly base packed with holographic microglitter. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Nail Hoot Lacquer Summer’s Demise
Summer’s Demise was sent in by Nail Hoot Lacquer. This is a hot, molten orange-pink polish with gold micro sparkle throughout. What I couldn’t photograph was the beautiful pink “shift” this beauty had. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Gunpowder Lacquer Whistling Bayou
Gunpowder Lacquer is an indie I was already familiar with! I reviewed her first collection just this past June and it was amazing!
Gunpowder Lacquer has contributed Whistling Bayou to this box. This is a green leaning teal jelly base with holo and iridescent flakes mixed in. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Anchor & Heart Bikini Top
Anchor & Heart in Bikini Top is a bright, lush green crelly with blue, green and gold micro flakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ladybug Lacquer Blowing Bubbles
Ladybug Lacquer contributed Blowing Bubbles! This is a bubblegum pink crelly base with various sizes of white matte dots mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Midwest Lacquer Solstice
Midwest Lacquer contributed a thermal polish to the box! This is Solstice and in it’s warm phase it’s a beautiful cornflower blue, in it’s cold phase it’s a vibrant purple. Solstice also has pink, blue and purple flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats for these photos. Above and directly below are the “transition” photos to show both warm and cold. Under the transition macro below you will see full cold phase and then full warm phase.
The Extras
Here are the extras that arrived in my box! From candies to nail art to nail care.. and even a candle and some jewelry! As I said before, a few of these items might change from my box to your box – but overall this will be about the same.
Summer’s Last Hurrah Overview
I am quite please with the various offerings within the Summer’s Last Hurrah box! You get to try out some new indies with a variety of different finishes to choose from. As I said, when I received the box I was only familiar with 2 of these brands, but really I’m now ashamed I wasn’t familiar with more! These are gorgeous and I had zero application issues.

Really loving this box! Such a cohesive summer collection from all of these different polish companies coming together. I love every single polish! And I love the names of the polishes, they really do seem to match the polish. Awesome job, I would love to buy it!! Thanks for sharing,
Katie B.
I hope they do these seasonally or something because it’s a fabulous box!
oh, sorry, you can delete this after…there are more than 50 boxes available…I read that and was like, oh, well then it must be sold out already. But it seems that the first 50 sold from the pre-sale will just be shipped out earlier than the rest.
Oh no problem – I’ll add that in. In my email it said 50 – so thank you for the extra info!
I’ve only heard of some of these Indies. There are so many new ones, this is a great way to get to try a bunch of them. Not a dud in the box – lots of these are really nice!
I was incredibly impressed with the mix in this box as well as the quality!
That frenzy polish stole my heart <3
All the colors are so pretty
