Phantasmal Collection

Happy Wednesday! I actually had to double check what day it actually was because time is flying by! Tonight we’re taking a look at the Starlight Polish Phantasmal Collection!

The Starlight Polish Phantasmal Collection is a new addition to the Mythological Collection! Every so often Issa of Starlight Polish adds a new group of polishes to it, and now we have 11 new shades! 

The Mythological Collection is a variety of mainly top coats (there are some with colored bases) that fall into the ‘unicorn pee’ pigments and sister pigments category. 

This release introduces Phantom to the Mythological collection. Phantom is a sister unicorn pee pigment that shifts from blue to violet to purple.

Let’s jump in and take a look. For 10 of these (the toppers) I used Starlight Polish Obsidian as the base color, which is a one coat black creme that dries down to a satin like finish.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Chimera Night

Phantasmal Chimera Night is a black jelly base with a blend of 5 Mythological pigments (Unicorn, Phoenix, Dragon, Kelpie and Phantom). I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Chimera Song

Phantasmal Chimera Song is a shifting holographic topper with a combination of all 5 Mythological pigments, with the addition of scattered holographic pigment. Similar to Phantasmal Chimera Night but with a clear base and holo. I used 1 coat over Obsidian for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Phantom Song

Phantom Song is another holographic top coat with the blue to violet to purple unicorn pee sister pigment. I used 1 coat over Obsidian and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Phantom

Phantom is a color shift topper that is a blue to violet to purple unicorn pee sister pigment. At some angles it disappears… like a phantom shimmer. I used 1 coat over Obsidian and a glossy top coat.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Phoenix

Phantasmal Phoenix is a blend of Phantom and Phoenix. You see the red to green unicorn pee pigment from Phoenix mixed with the blue to violet to purple of Phantom. I used 1 coat over Obsidian and a glossy top coat.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Unicorn

Phantasmal Unicorn is a blend of Phantom and Unicorn toppers – so you get the green to blue shift from Unicorn sister pigment and the blue to violet to purple sister pigment of Phantom. I used 1 coat over Obsidian and a glossy top coat.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Kelpie

Phantasmal Kelpie is a blend of Kelpie and Phantom. We get the teal to blue to  violet sister pigment mixed with the blue to violet to purple sister pigment. I used 1 coat over Obsidian and a glossy top coat.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Dragon

Phantasmal Dragon is a mix of Dragon and Phantom toppers! This combines the gold to green sister pigment of Dragon with the blue to violet to purple sister pigment for Phantom.  I used 1 coat over Obsidian and a glossy top coat.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Chimera

Phantasmal Chimera is similar to Phantasmal Chimera Song but minus the holo aspect. This combines all 5 Mythological pigments which are Phoenix, Dragon, Unicorn, Kelpie and Phantom. I used 1 coat over Obsidian for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Phantom Opal

Phantom Opal is a clear base packed with the Phantom pigment which shifts blue to violet to purple and has the addition of matching iridescent flakes. I used 1 coat over Obsidian for these photos.

Starlight Polish | Phantasmal Chimera Opal

Last up we have Phantasmal Chimera Opal! This combines all 5 of the Unicorn Pee and Unicorn Pee sister pigments in a clear base with the addition of all the matching opal shades of shifting iridescent flakes. I used 1 coat over Obsidian

There we have it! The newest addition to the Mythological collection! I actually really love the addition of Phantom, and dare I say it’s my favorite of the siblings? I love the deep blue hue over black. It’s stunning.

If I had to narrow down favorites – I’d have to say my must haves from this selection would be Phantom, Phantom Song, Phantasmal Chimera Opal and Phantom Opal.
