Happy Friday! It’s graduation day for my son, and while he’s at rehearsal and I have some time before picking him up… I thought I’d type out some posts. First up is the Stardust Shimmer Collab for May 2024 and the theme is Bob’s Burgers!
The Stardust Shimmer Collaboration is a bi-monthly collaboration of shimmer polishes with 2 hosting brands – Swamp Gloss Polish and Kathleen & Co, as well as one guest maker. For May – we have Garden Path Lacquers joining the box.

The theme chosen by Garden Path Lacquers is Bob’s Burgers!
For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached
I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830) and I don’t do any fun frills to be fancy cause I don’t know how, if we’re being completely honest.

Kathleen & Co | I Smell Fear On You
I Smell Fear On You is a blurple jelly base with a loose linear holo and glowy pink shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did not reach full opacity in 3 thin coats, so you may see VNL through the polish if you have a strong VNL.
Swamp Gloss Polish | Let’s Give Em Something Shiitake Bout
Let’s Give Em Something Shiitake Bout is a sheer, pale taupe jelly base with strong blue shifting aurora shimmer and micro sparkle, as well as pink reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Depending on application, VNL may also be visible through this polish.
Garden Path Lacquers | Best Bootleg Hooch
Best Bootleg Hooch is a lime green jelly base loaded with glowy blue to green shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I had no application issues with any of the 3 shades. All are beautiful Spring/Summer shades!
