It’s time for the final Stardust Shimmer Collab of 2024!

Stardust Shimmer Box is a bi-monthly collaboration of shimmer polishes with your hosting brands – Swamp Gloss Polish and Kathleen & Co.
For December we have 4 items in the box! Swamp Gloss is contributing a polish and an acetone additive, while Kathleen & Co will have a polish and cuticle balm. (I did not receive the cuticle balm, so it is not shown in the video, but it will be in the purchased boxes)
For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached
I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830) and I don’t do any fun frills to be fancy cause I don’t know how, if we’re being completely honest.

Kathleen & Co | Among The Stars
Among The Stars is a pale lilac holo base accented with glowing gold shifting shimmer and silver reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Swamp Gloss Polish | Ziggy
Ziggy is a navy blue jelly base with purple to violet to pink to gold shifting large particle shimmer, with scattered holo and silvery blue reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.
Swamp Gloss Polish | Acetone Additive
Swamp Gloss also included an Acetone Additive in this package and this is my first time trying their acetone additive. Basically Acetone Additive is something you can add to remover (usually acetone remover) to help soften it up so it doesn’t dry your skin/nails/cuticles out and leave that ashy white look behind.
I personally use acetone additive in my Zoya Remove + (which already has some beneficial stuff in it to soften it up) but I like a little more oomph… and after 13 years of swatching, I’m gonna toot my own horn and say my cuticles are still looking decent considering. Part of that is using things like this to keep them happy.
The Swamp Gloss Acetone Additive is in a nice dropper style bottle. Most that I use are pour style, but the dropper does help a bit to control the amount going into the remover.
I do suggest adding a little at a time until you get the desired moisture/oil level and scent.
Scent Description: Scented in Kayali Yum! Pistachio Type
Top Notes: Italian Bergamot, Pistachio Gelato, Hazelnut, Sweet Rum & Cardamom
Middle Notes: Geranium, White Peony, Muguet, Jasmine, Raspberry, White Peach & Pear
Base Notes: Whipped Cream, Marshmallows, Cotton Candy, Turkish Delight Accord, Cocoa, Cedarwood, Sandalwood & Tonka
To my nose, this is sweet, fruity and leans floral. I’ve never smelled the actual fragrance, so I can’t say how “spot on” it is to that.

The cuticle balm that will also be included is scented like BBW Champagne & Toast type (bubbly champagne, sparkling berries and juicy tangerine.)
