First post in the new house! Things have been moving along and Nick’s step dad even installed my XL capacity mailbox (the house came with a really ugly mailbox the previous owners painted bright yellow and green for John Deere themed type thing and it had to go.) Some furniture pieces we never bought for the apartment were delivered this week – like couches! We got 2 new couches for the living room, and since Nick and I made the finished basement our “master suite” we also bought a couch for down here. Our new bed arrived as well (old one is in the guest room) and we decided to try out a Purple Hybrid mattress, this is day 3 and .. it’s pretty freaking comfy.

Anyways, we’ve been enjoying things. Jacob has his bedroom and gaming room upstairs, so he’s in teenage boy heaven. Onto the post though – I have the Stardust Collaboration for March 2021… and the theme is Stardust!

Admittedly – I had to look up the movie Stardust. I don’t know how I never heard of it – the cast has several well known names. I’ll have to add it to the list of movies I need to watch while swatching.

So this month we have Kathleen & Co and Rogue Lacquer (the hosts of the box) and the March guest maker is Mariah of Great Lakes Lacquer – which we’ve been showing on this blog for years. As usual, the guest maker selects the theme, so Stardust is Mariah’s selection!

Kathleen & Co | Lamia’s Magic

Lamia’s Magic is a light-medium green linear holographic with green to blue shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

On first coat – this baby was SHEER. In my mind I was like “Uh-Oh” but… it built up beautifully in 3 coats. If you have a strong VNL, there is a possibility you’ll be able to see it in 3 coats, but most likely it won’t.

Rogue Lacquer | Captain Shake Spear

Captain Shake Spear is a flamino pink crelly base with intense magenta to pink to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is a slightly more intense pink in person.

Great Lakes Lacquer | Do The Stars Gaze Back?

Do The Stars Gaze Back? is a violet blue linear holographic crelly base with vibrant pink to gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The color scheme going on here is kinda magical. It’s perfect for moving into Spring. The colors aren’t neons – but they all have a nice vibrancy to them perfect for this time of year.
