Happy Tuesday! Today I have 6 offerings from the Smidgen of Us Box for February 2023… and the theme this month is Books!
Smidgen of Us Box is a monthly collab box that runs towards the end of the month, with February’s shop running from February 23rd at 11am Eastern through February 28th at 11pm Eastern. Each month is a different theme and February’s theme is Books, so each item is based off this theme. Some inspo is direct, while others are loosely inspired.
Since it is an indie collaboration shop – orders will take 3-4 weeks to ship after box closes to allow makers time to fulfill their sold amount and ship to the SoU Headquarters.

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base (purchased by me, but I swatch/admin for the brand), and for the glossy photos I did use a combination of the top coats including Glisten & Glow Top Coat and Vibrant Vinyls which was sent as PR.

All Mixed Up Lacquers | Pain In My Bum
Inspiration: The Bum Children’s Books
Description: Pain In My Bum is a sheer white crelly base loaded with a colorful variety of glitters in different shapes and sizes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I prefer the look of this shade at 2 coats, but if you did 3 you will most likely need a glitter smoothing topper along with a top coat.

Hearts and Promises | Giving a Mouse a Cookie
Inspiration: The book, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie
Description: Giving A Mouse A Cookie is a light latte brown crelly base with red shimmer and brown hex glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lemming Lacquer | The Cask of Amontillado
Inspiration: The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe.
Description: The Cask of Amontillado is a violet leaning burgundy jelly base with green to aqua to blue to violet shifting shimmer and holographic micro flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This looks a little more purple in photos due to the shimmer.

Inspiration: The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe.
Description: The Masque of the Red Death is a blood red jelly base with black microflakes and red to orange to gold shifting microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: A super atmospheric library that just oozes haunted energy
Description: Haunted Library is a black jelly base packed with teal to purple shifting flakes, as well as pink to orange shifting flakes, holo flakes and silver reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats, a glitter smoothing topper and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Red Panda Lacquer | Mr and Mrs Juicy O
Inspiration: The Juicy O drink from Judy Blume’s Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
Description: Mr and Mrs Juicy O is an orange crelly base with a mix of neon glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shows a little brighter in my photos than it is in person. The YouTube video shows it as more color accurate.
