I said I’d be back with more reviews… and here I am. Next up tonight we have the Scofflaw Nail Varnish Fall 2018 Collection!

The Scofflaw Nail Varnish Fall 2018 Collection consists of 8 fun glitter crelly polishes. I always look forward to see the color combos Scofflaw comes out with and they remind me again and again why I fell in love with indies to begin with. The glitter crelly shades just always make me squeal a little when I see them. 

These are already available in the Scofflaw shop – so let’s jump right into this.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Walking Away In Slow Motion While A Car Explodes Behind You

Apparently Scofflaw really wanted to test the limits on how many words she could fit onto her label. The name is hilarious though.

Walking Away In Slow Motion While A Car Explodes Behind You is a rich, deep greyed out blue crelly base with orange to red to gold shifting chrome shreds and gold, copper and bronze micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Meowtallica

Meowtallica is a rich, violet purple jelly base with shifting chrome flakes that go from aqua to blue to purple, as well as blue to violet shimmer and aqua microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Goonies Never Say Die

Funny story about this bugger. When I got my swatch pack, I could smell polish. My heart sank. I knew something didn’t make it. I opened up the unbroken bottles and had to do process of elimination to see what broke and it was this one.

That’s right folks… Goonies Never Say Die… died. Tragically. We rewatched our security cam footage and it’s safe to say it was probably our mail carrier at fault. We don’t have a mailbox – we have the slot in our door, so mail drops directly into a padded box inside our house (we always come in through the side door, so it works out well) and the carrier tried jamming the package into the slot. 

You know those baby toys that are like “which shape goes into which hole?” It looked like that, and the carrier kept trying. Eventually she gave up and put it in the box we have conveniently sitting next to our door for things that don’t fit in the slot. And by “put” I mean dropped in a fairly aggressive manner.

At any rate, a new bottle arrived and we’re back in business.

Goonies Never Say Die is a teal crelly base loaded with red, neon yellow, gold, caramel and black glitters as well as black holo glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Tattooed Toad

Tattooed Toad is one of my top picks from this collection. It’s odd because I’m liking more greens lately, and that never used to happen. Maybe my brain has just been overloaded with purples and blues? I dunno.

Tattooed Toad is a semi pastelish lime green packed with shimmery flecks of green, aqua and blue. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Mom Jeans

Mom Jeans is another favorite! This is a light, slightly dusty blue base packed with flecks and microflakes of blue, aqua, grey and silver. This is meant to represent your mom’s favorite acid wash jeans. 

I’m happy to say I haven’t hit this level of mom just yet. Give it time though. I plan to rock all the more embarrassing styles while my minion is in high school. 

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Unicorn Wool Sweater

Unicorn Wool Sweater is a really unique color combo that says “early fall” as well as “SPRING!”

This is a dusty light beige crelly base with golden microglitters and shimmer, as well as white micro glitters and pastel pink and aqua micro and small matte glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Psychopeach

Psychopeach is a soft, pastel peach crelly base with aquamarine, lime green and peach glitters, as well as subtle silvery shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish | Poor Unfortunate Souls

Last up in the collection we have Poor Unfortunate Souls (and the song is now stuck in my head, thank you Finch.) This is a dusty eggplantish purple crelly base with gunmetal, violet, and lavender flecked shimmer as well as violet microglitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Fall 2018 Collection

There are probably 3 indie makers that I could name that do glitter crellies, and they do them well. Scofflaw is definitely one of those 3 makers.

All 8 of these shades applied beautifully, but the only one I would add a caution to is Unicorn Wool Sweater. It has a higher glittery content so it has the most potential for a glitter pile up. Thin coats prevent it though. Nothing serious really.
