Salon Perfect has a limited edition collection at Walmart now for the 4th of July! They have several artificial nail sets that are decked out for the occasion, as well as a Light Up The Sky collection of polishes!
We’re going to go over the polishes and then take a little peek at the artificial nails. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen the peek already. While this collection is a limited edition gathering, not all the colors within it are limited edition. I’ve seen a couple of them in the past already.
The Salon Perfect Light Up The Sky Collection is an 8 piece collection with 2 reds, 2 blues, 3 silvery shades and a silver glitter topper. One of the reds is making a reappearance from last years Rockin’ The Red White and Blue collection.
And there’s a holo. Not a top coat holo either. It’s a sparkling, silver, gorgeous holographic. I know it’s harder to find a good holographic in the mainstream polish world now, so I was pretty excited to see it!
Let’s jump right in!
Holo-Day Weekend
I had to kick this off with the holo of the collection! It’s much MUCH more holo in person too!
Holo-Day Weekend is a medium silver scattered holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Chrome Of The Brave
Chrome Of The Brave is a silver chrome finish polish. Brushstrokes are visible with this shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Freedom Foil
Freedom Foil is a silver foil polish. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat. Minor brush strokes are available, but not nearly as much as I’m use to with foil polishes.
Electric Avenue
Electric Avenue is a medium blue jelly base packed with light blue microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
He’s With Me
He’s With Me is a medium ruby red jelly base with gold microglitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
In Too Deep
In Too Deep is a true blue jelly. This is a more opaque jelly though and only required 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Salsa Dance
Salsa Dance is a tomato red creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Star Spangled Sparkle
Star Spangled Sparkle is a glittery topper with silver hex glitters in medium and small sizes as well as silver holographic stars. I used 1 coat over In Too Deep.
The consistency of the clear base was quite nice and I actually didn’t have to fish around for glitters. In fact, I got more than I needed for each nail and ended up wiping some off.
And here’s a quick look at the artificial nails!
I don’t generally do artificial nails, but I really wanted to see what this nail shape looked like on me. These are all pre-glued and I applied them in about 10 minutes and they held on for about 30 minutes before I had to forcefully remove them. I found I can’t type at work with this nail shape. Texting was interesting as well.
If I ever change nail shapes though… this is a possibility. I could get use to them.
