I have some more Halloween goodness on the blog tonight – this time from Salon Perfect! The Halloween 2015 collection has 8 polishes in it – 4 glitter toppers and 4 colors. Just when I thought I was safe from neons, Salon Perfect adds more! I’m ok with it. My camera has it’s own opinion though!
A few of the colors within this collection will already be familiar to you from the Neon Pop line, and of course Oil Slick is their permanent black creme.
Let’s take a look
Salon Perfect Loopy Lime
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Loopy Lime Swatch
Salon Perfect Loopy Lime is a neon lime with a fine shimmer throughout. It’s actually brighter in person than in my photos. Loopy Lime dries down to a matte finish like a lot of mattes tend to do, so I added a top coat for it. I used 3 thin coats and a top coat for these photos. 2 coats seemed to be okay, but I had a few streaky areas so I did a 3rd coat for good measure and everything evened out.
This shade is also part of the Neon Pop collection, so if you purchased that within the last 2 Summers, it’s still the same shade and you shouldn’t need to repurchase (unless you are out, of course!)
Salon Perfect Traffic Cone
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Traffic Cone Swatch
Salon Perfect Traffic Cone is a neon orange creme. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a top coat. My camera still flips out with this particular shade of orange and I had to mess with my white balance a little to capture the color.
This shade was also part of the Neon Pop collection, so again, if you already own it – it’s the same one.
Salon Perfect A Royal Affair
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection A Royal Affair Swatch
Salon Perfect A Royal Affair is a gorgeous dark yet vibrant purple crelly. This shade also seems to be in the Salon Perfect permanent line, but I actually hadn’t seen it before – and I love it. It took a bit of white balancing finagling to get the right shade to show up. Because of the crelly consistency I used 3 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.
Salon Perfect Oil Slick
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Oil Slick Swatch
Salon Perfect Oil Slick has made several appearances on my blog in the past (usually with Salon Perfect’s white creme, Sugar Cube!) and it’s part of the Halloween 2015 collection! Oil Slick is a black creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Salon Perfect Spider Legs
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Spider Legs over Loopy Lime Swatch
Salon Perfect Spider Legs is a clear base with short, stubby black bar glitter and medium sized black and light orange dot glitter. I like the name of this topper and for Halloween, I like the topper – but I am just not on Team Bar Glitter. I had no issues picking up the bar glitters, but I did do a little fishing for the dots.
I used 1 coat of Salon Perfect Spider Legs over Salon Perfect Loopy Lime and a glossy top coat.
Salon Perfect Trick-Or-Treat
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Trick-or-Treat over A Royal Affair Swatch
Salon Perfect Trick-or-Treat is a clear base with small matte white, orange and black hexes and matte medium dot glitters. I used 1 coat of Salon Perfect Trick-or-Treat over Salon Perfect A Royal Affair. Application was nice with this one, but the base was a little more on the thick side so I did a little dabbing for the dot glitter placement.
Salon Perfect Witches’ Brew
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Witches’ Brew over Sugar Cube Swatch
Salon Perfect Witches’ Brew was a fun glitter topper! This is a clear base with small, bright green and bright purple hex glitters. I originally swatched this over Salon Perfect Traffic Cone, but with my camera not liking neon orange, it skewed the green and purple glitters, so I redid it over Salon Perfect Sugar Cube to get a nice white base so the glitters would really pop!
Application was really good with this one and I used 1 coat of Salon Perfect Witches’ Brew over Salon Perfect Sugar Cube.
Salon Perfect Wicked
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Wicked over Oil Slick Swatch
Salon Perfect Wicked is a clear base with densely packed lime green, green and black hex microglitters. I used 1 coat of Salon Perfect Wicked over Salon Perfect Oil Slick, but you could probably use Wicked on it’s own in 3 coats.
Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection Overview
For those trying to save money – the bright side is that half of this collection consists of repromotes or permanent colors within the core Salon Perfect line. For me personally, the Halloween glitters are the stars of the show here. I like the mix of glitters and I feel they are good selections for Halloween colors. Overall I didn’t have too many issues with application on this collection, and the issues I noted with the shades/glitters are actually fairly minor.
My favorites from the Salon Perfect Halloween 2015 Collection are A Royal Affair, Witches’ Brew, Trick-or-Treat and Loopy Lime.

The glitter toppers are fun addition to usual halloween shades
I really like this affordable collection from SP because I don’t like to pay a lot for shades that I don’t wear very often. I love the toppers and the regular shades look great too.
Salon Perfect Loopy Lime looks very pretty and it reminds me of China Glaze I’m With The Lifeguard.
These Hallowe’en glitters are too cute! I’d skip the solids, I can easily dupe from my collection.
I really like A Royal Affair.
I love these, so cute! They are so pigmented and I love that orange :)
Love that they are so affordable!
It’s great to find an inexpensive polish when you are looking for something fun. These are great for Halloween.
Very Halloween! That purple is gorgeous.

All the four glitter toppers are so fun and cute!
I love the bright, neon green!
Love Witches Brew!
