Sally Hansen Gem Crush Collection Swatches and Review

Sally Hansen added 8 full coverage glitters to their permanent collection a couple months back.  Each gorgeous glitter bomb consists of 2 different colors of glitter, one color in smaller glitter, the other color in slightly larger round glitters.  Today I have the pleasure of showing you all 8 full coverage glitters which make up the Sally Hansen Gem Crush Collection!

Here comes some Glitter Spam!  I love it!!

Sally Hansen – Big Money

Big Money is in my top 3 from the Gem Crush Collection.  Big Money contains small champagne gold colored glitter with slightly larger pale purple glitter.  This one really makes your nails look gem encrusted.

Sally Hansen Be-Jeweled

You all knew the gorgeous purple would be in my top 3 as well, right?  Be-Jeweled is light purple glitter with slightly larger pink glitter and just enough holographic glitter added in for some pizzazz.  A must have for any purple lover!

Sally Hansen – Glitz Gal

Glitz Gal also made my top 3, and this is Nick’s favorite on me.  Glitz Gal consists of charcoal gray glitter with slightly larger holographic glitter.  Usually I wouldn’t be a fan of such dark glitter, but I really think that adding the holographic glitter into it was perfect!

Sally Hansen – Lady Luck

Lady Luck is another beauty!  Lady Luck has deep fuchsia glitter with larger holographic glitter mixed in.  I really am loving these deeper colors with the spark of holographic glitter.  It really brings the colors to life.

Sally Hansen – Showgirl Chic

Showgirl Chic consists of small silver glitter with larger aqua glitter particles mixed in.  Another beautiful pairing.  Seriously, I love pretty much all of the combos for this collection.

Sally Hansen – Razzle Dazzler

Razzle Dazzler has small rose pink glitter with slightly larger silver glitter.  This would be a lovely “night out” glittery look.  It isn’t as flashy as the others but would still turn heads.

Sally Hansen – Blingtastic

I love the color combo of Blingtastic, but I had some application issues with it.  For some reason 2 of the 8 polishes I received had “odd man out” brushes.  Most of the Gem Crush brushes are wide flat brushes, but Blingtastic had a slender brush which made picking up glitter and brushing it on a slight challenge.  I do believe this was just an error and usually would have the correct wide brush.  Onto the description though, Blingtastic was filled with small aqua glitter and slightly larger silver hex glitter.  Another beautiful combo!

Sally Hansen – Cha-Ching!

Cha-Ching! was the second Gem Crush with the wrong brush, so application took some work.  I do love this one though! Perfect Valentines Day or Christmas glitter polish!  Cha-Ching! has small red glitter particles with slightly larger silver glitter.

I really want to say that I absolutely LOVED the glitter colors that were paired up to make Sally Hansen’s Gem Crush Collection!  I only used 2 coats of polish for each photo and as you can see, they truly are full coverage!  Gem Crush is VERY thirsty polish and would need at least 2 coats of top coat as well to take out the gritty feeling.  It will not completely smooth over, but make the glitter feel manageable.  I am not a fan of super gritty glitters, so I do need 2 layers of top coat.  That’s really the only downside I found to Sally Hansen Gem Crush polish.  For being so packed with glitter, I was pleasantly surprised that Gem Crush polishes weren’t clumpy and hard to work with!

Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail polish can be found anywhere Sally Hansen is sold (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc) and retail for $7.99

Hi PT! Generally I prefer using felt cloth (you can buy it cheap at WalMart or craft shops) cut them into 2×2″ squares, soak a little in remover then press the felt over my nail for about 45 seconds. After then I rub off the glitter polish.
