Who doesn’t love New York Fashion Week? My feed starts filling with all of the creative styles from various designers and not only is it inspiring, it awakens your inner creativity.
I know I’ve said it a million times, but I like simple. I like a style I can do quickly and without needing too many gadgets and products to create. I like style that shows off my healthy hair, but adds just a little flair to it.
While my style might not be too fancy – it perfectly captures me. A little messy, a little playful and well… simple to suit my lifestyle and time commitments. Of course TRESemme helped me create this look, and keeps my hair healthy to maintain my locks.
I only needed 4 TRESemme products for this look (I told you I keep it simple! Full time job, blogging and a 12 year old son? I don’t have much choice) and these are easily 4 of my most used TRESemme products. I’m going to show you my hair style and talk about the products I used along the way.
I have thick hair that’s down to the middle of my back, and I’m growing out my side swept bangs, so I wanted a style to got the bangs out of my way. I washed my hair with TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner.

For my style, I took a small section from the front center of my hair. I don’t want to take too much, because I prefer my hair down. This style is simple, but it’s also to take the side swept bangs I’m growing out away from my eyes.
Take that small section, like shown, and then spritz a little TRESemme Dry Shampoo into the roots.
Start braiding that small section! I generally braid almost straight up, then slowly lean it off to the right so the braid will fall to the right side of my head. You can lean it left or back down the center, depending on your style – my preference is the right side.
Once the braid is finished, tie it off with a small elastic. Set it all with TRESemme Compressed Micro Mist Hair Spray.
