Press Sample of the Rogue Lacquer
Sirens of Summer Collection
It’s been a fun and busy weekend! I mentioned in my last post that I would be car shopping this weekend, and it happened! After 18 years with my Toyota Avalon, I have purchased a new vehicle. Nick, Jacob and I went to the Honda dealership at 9am on Saturday morning and we left at 11:30 am with my new, 2018 Honda HR-V EX in the color Mulberry. It’s taking a little getting used to because I’m really not used to having all the bells and whistles but it’s a fun change. Of course instead of working on bloggy things, I’ve been finding any excuse to drive around. Jacob and I have been out and about since buying her and I couldn’t be happier. Of course I have to show her a little – this is Molly!
My 4th ever car, but my first brand spanking new car (I had purchased all previous cars, so not the first one I bought myself) and I’m incredibly happy.
A bird already pooped on it though, which Jacob found hilarious.
Anyways – enough about my life happenings – onto what you really came here for! The Rogue Lacquer Sirens of Summer Collection!
This is a jelly based trio with iridescent flecks, shimmer and holo sparkle. They released moments ago – so have at ’em!
All 3 of these are on the sheerer side, so they can be used alone or as a topper over a similar shade for more opacity. I will be showing all 3 on their own to basically cut out any confusion of color variations. Please keep in mind though – I use artificial lighting and it causes the polishes to appear even more sheer than they are. Without the special blogger lighting, they are actually opaque.
We’re going to jump right in since I’m already stumbling behind a bit.
Beach, I’m A Mermaid
Beach, I’m A Mermaid is my top pick of the trio. I can’t get enough of purples with red shimmer in em. They just have that “oomph” factor I absolutely love.
This is a grape purple jelly base packed with red to green aurora shimmer, as well as green, pink, aqua and orange iridescent shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Shell Yeah!
Shell Yeah! is a bright reddish orange coral jelly base (different lighting scenarios made it more orange, more red or more coral) with aurora shimmer, holographic microglitters and gold, pink and green iridescent color shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
My photos pull a touch redder than they are in person.
I Washed Up Like This
Finally we have ‘I Washed Up Like This’ and its a green leaning teal jelly base with blue to green aurora shimmer, holographic micro glitters and green to gold to purple iridescent color shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Rogue Lacquer Sirens of Summer Collection
If you love jellies and a bit of flair, you’ll probably love this collection. As I mentioned earlier – you can use them to top more opaque shades if you aren’t as into jellies and they still would love incredible.
