Fall Obsessed Trio & 8 Crazy Nights Trio

Happy Halloween! It’s super early on October 31st… but I also slept in so I’m still wide awake. This morning we’re going to be taking a look at the Rogue Lacquer Fall Obsessed Trio and the 8 Crazy Nights Trio!

I was super excited to see both of these trios, but especially the 8 Crazy Nights Trio. Several months ago, a longtime member in the community (Heather Greenspan) made a comment that there was a lack of Hanukkah polishes and how she would really love to see more. I don’t fully recall the convo, but I suggested she posted in the Polish Pickup B/S/T group asking about Hanukkah polishes and how it was earlier this year – so releasing one in a “holiday” collection in December would actually be too late.

Hanukkah starts on November 28th this year for those unaware.

So Heather posted in the PPU BST group and Rogue Lacquer offered to not only do a set of Hanukkah polishes, but she also asked Heather to collab on them. From there – the 8 Crazy Nights trio was born, and they did a fantastic job on them!

Both of these sets release later today (October 31st) at 11am Pacific.

Lets jump in and take a look at both sets, starting with 8 Crazy Nights Trio.

Rogue Lacquer | Spin Me Right Round

Spin Me Right Round was inspired by a dreidel.

Spin Me Right Round is a white crelly base with silver, gold and blue micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Festival Of Lights

Festival of Lights is inspired by a menorah that was Heather’s late grandmothers.

Festival of Lights is a clear base loaded with purple, copper, silver holo and blue flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Despite the flake bomb – you should only need 1 coat of top coat to smooth. The flakes lay pretty flat and even with 3 thin coats, there wasn’t a ton of texture.

Rogue Lacquer | Jelly Is My Jam

Jelly Is My Jam is inspired by sufganiyot/jelly donuts.

Jelly Is My Jam is a medium burgundy jelly base with rose gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Feast Mode

Feast Mode is an olive green crelly base with green, lime green and copper flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Pumpkin Spice Sprinkles

Pumpkin Spice Sprinkles is a pale, peach tinged orange crelly base with lime and turquoise flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Stressed, Blessed and Fall Obsessed

Stressed, Blessed and Fall Obsessed is a blue leaning grey crelly base with red, copper and gold metallic flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I am so happy that Heather and Rachel connected to create the 8 Crazy Nights Trio… and I’m kinda hoping for an encore next year with a whole new trio.

Both sets are beautifully done and once again Rogue Lacquer shows us why she is the queen of flakies.
