Happy Sunday! This weekend flew by but I got a bit done, including my review of a few Ribbits Stickits items created for the Unicorn Day Box!

The Unicorn Day Box is fairly new. It was created as a one time collaboration shop to celebrate Unicorn Day on April 9th, however – it may extend a bit beyond that and become a bimonthly box. I have hazy details on that, but the Facebook Fan Group link will be at the bottom for you to join and find out more!

For the launch – there are 6 makers and about 20 items available. I have 5 of the items – all from Ribbits Stickits!

Ribbits Stickits | Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive Duo

Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive is a mixture of glycerine and oil and fragrance that you add to your acetone to help prevent drying and that white ashen skin look.

Most do add these to pure acetone, but i personally like using it in Zoya Remove +. Remove+ does already have it’s own built in additive in a sense, but I like the additional boost.

This listing has 2 glass bottles with 2 different scents: Magical Unicorn Treats and Extra Marshmallows. Each bottle is 18ml. To use, just shake the bottle and pour into about 6-12oz of remover. If you aren’t sure how much to use for you (everyone is different!) I suggest pouring 1/2 a bottle into 6-12 oz, trying it out. If it makes our skin feel hydrated – you added enough. If you don’t notice a difference – add some more. I personally add a full bottle to 12 oz.

The scents descriptions (and what my nose picks up next to them) are:

Magical Unicorn Treats: satsuma, blood orange with goji berry blended with sugary crystals, bubblegum, mulberry, whipped cream and creamy vanilla
This is actually a harder one for my to describe. It smells like sugary berries, whipped cream and has a slight powdery note to it. I don’t have anything quite like it – but it smells really good.

Extra Marshmallows: creamy vanilla and buttercream.
This is familiar and easy to describe – smells like sugary, fluffy marshmallows.

Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-getable Hand and Cuticle Cream

Un-Frog-Gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream is a nice hand and cuticle cream that leans into the thick side. It’s thick enough to use as a hand treatment cream, but thin enough to dot on the cuticles and quickly rub in. It’s not greasy when used in smaller quantities. Too much and it can feel slicker on the skin, but I still wouldn’t call it greasy.

The scent is Magical Unicorn Treats, which matches one of the acetone additives shown above.

Ribbits Stickits | Vinyl Stickers

Ribbits Stickits brings us 2 vinyl stickers that are sold separately.

To use (don’t worry, instructions are also included in the order)


1. Scrape over the entire image going over it several times(use a credit card or something with a thin hard edge) This will help the vinyl stick to the transfer sheet.

2. Place the decal face down & slowly peel the white backing from the translucent transfer sheet.

3. Slowly remove transfer sheet, making sure all of the pieces of the vinyl are sticking to the transfer tape.

4. Clean the surface where you are applying your sticker.

5. Add your sticker to the surface, smooth down.

6. Take your scraper & scrape all over the image(use your fingers if scraping isn’t an option)

7. Slowly & carefully remove the transfer sheet leaving your sticker decal in place.

Ribbits Stickits | Unicorn Nail Vinyl Duo

It’s been at least 4 – 5 years since I’ve used these, so it was a little rough. Basically nail vinyls are like stencils. You can use the cut outs as nail stickers OR as stencils and peel off when done to leave the pattern behind.

This set has two sets of sheets that are identical – except for the vinyl it was printed on. One is matte black and the other is silver holographic.

Ribbits Stickits | Unicorn Magic Water Slide Decal Sheet Duo

Last up we have water slide decal sheets! This is a duo pack with around 30 images per sheet.

To use:

1. Paint nails, let dry completely.

2. Cut out the desired image.(Try cutting as close as possible to the image)

3. Place in warm water for 5-10 seconds.

4. Using your thumb & index finger slide the paper backing from the image.

5. Lightly dampen the back of the decal.

6. Place image on your nail, pressing down to remove any air bubbles.

7. Seal it with a top coat.

The decals work best over lighter colors, unless you paint the area it will be placed with a white to make it pop.

Ribbits Stickits | Unicorn Day Box

I enjoy Ribbits Stickits items and for a long time knew the brand through the water slide decals and vinyl stickers. Recently I started seeing the Acetone Additives and Hand & Cuticle Cream more and more and have quite a little collection now. Personally – they are the stars of the show for me and I find myself using them more and more. I do still love the other items as well, but my hands need all the love they can get and I find the AA and Hand & Cuticle Cream do the trick beautifully.
