Red Leaf Tea carries an assortment of exotic and unique teas from around the world. So if you are a tea lover, definitely check them out!
I drink tea from time to time, but I will admit, I’m more of a coffee person. When given the opportunity to review Matcha Tea, I decided it was worth a shot since I had heard they don’t taste quite the same as traditional bag teas from the local grocery store.
Usually when you hear the word Matcha, you automatically think about Green Tea. Red Leaf Tea has put a spin on the Matcha name and technique with their White Matcha.
I received a 30g bag of White Matcha from Red Leaf Tea to try out. At first I thought it was a fairly small bag, but the recommended serving is 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp a day, so this will actually last me a few weeks.
Much like Green Matcha Tea, this White Matcha Tea has the following benefits:
high antioxidant count to kill free radicals in the blood stream
reduces the risk of certain types of cancer
decreases fine lines and wrinkles in the skin
helps maintain a beautiful complexion
has only one percent (1%) caffeine content of coffee.
Because it is called White Matcha Tea, I expected the powder to be white, but it isn’t. It’s actually a medium brown fine powder. The taste is incredibly light and doesn’t have the slight grassy taste that Green Matcha Tea has. I add about 3/4 of a tsp to 8 oz of hot water and mix for my White Matcha Tea Drink (can also use milk, but I prefer water!)
White Matcha Tea from Red Leaf Tea contains 100% Matcha and natural flavors. It has no artificial coloring, no sweeteners, no preservatives and no MSG/Chemical Additives.
Price: $19.99 for 30g bag
