Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I have a fun collab to share with you this afternoon, and it’s the Red Eyed Lacquer x Ethereal Lacquer Pokémon Collaboration!
So, to start – story time. My son is a Pokémon nerd. When he was a bit younger, one of the times my heart just simply melted was when Jacob got into Pokémon and Nick brought out HIS Pokémon card collection from he was younger and gave it to Jacob. Jacob CHERISHES that card collection and its still all prim and proper in the binder Nick gave him. Since then, Jacob has his own binders as well with cards he has collected.
This duo will only be available for a one week preorder.
Anyways. So Red Eyed Lacquer and Ethereal Lacquer created this duo that will be available on December 16th (yup – this Friday!) and I will be sharing today. You can also check out the live application on my YouTube channel as well.
Let’s jump on in and take a look!
Red Eyed Lacquer | Luxroar
Luxroar is a black jelly base loaded with gold and blue to aqua to green micro to small flakes, as well as larger silver flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Despite the flake load – this laid nicely and 1 coat of top coat smoothed it nicely. If you use thicker coats, you might need a smoothing topper.
Ethereal Lacquer | Jigglypuff
JIgglypuff is a fairly sheer candy pink jelly base with green to aqua to violet shifting shimmer. While the base is sheer, the shimmer helps create the illusion of opacity – but you will need 2 thick coats or 3 thin to medium coats for that to happen. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
If you have a strong VNL it will likely show through.
