A few months ago I shared a new love with you – ApotheCARE Essentials™. I found ApotheCARE Essentials last December while browsing around CVS and I’ve been keeping their hair care on hand since then.
What makes ApotheCARE Essentials different? They use cutting-edge scientific technology, as well as specially selected ingredients inspired by nature and powered by science. From the scent to performance, you get a simply superior look and feel. ApotheCARE Essentials wanted to find the right kind of way to bring the right blend of apothecary spirit, mixed with the modern ingredients of beauty products to meet both individual hair and skin care needs.
ApotheCARE Essentials has a few different lines that focus on different hair care needs:
The Mender – A solution for damaged hair thats helps to repair and nourish.
The Replenisher – A solution for dry hair that moisturizes for smoothness and manageability.
The Colorist – A solution for color-treated hair that amplifies vibrancy and shine.
The Booster – A solution for fine and flat hair that enhances natural movement.
Over time, I found the perfect ApotheCARE Essentials “mix” for my hair.
I love using The Replenisher Shampoo, which is primarily for dry hair and it cleanses to remove impurities, while retaining the natural oils in your hair. It moisturizes and helps tame the frizz.
ApotheCARE Essentials The Replenisher Shampoo smells like a luxurious mix of vanilla and sweet almond, but not the synthetically sweet smell – it actually smells mellow and real.
I will admit, I discovered this combo on accident. I grabbed the wrong conditioner initially. I meant to grab for The Replenisher Conditioner to go with the shampoo – but grabbing The Mender Conditioner turned into a “happy accident”
The Mender is for distressed hair. The conditioning formula repairs damage by resurfacing the outer cuticle layer for renewed strength and smoothness.
What’s really nice is that the different blends smell incredible on their own, but they also mingle well with each other (in case you have a happy accident like I did!)
It doesn’t stop with the shampoo and conditioner though! I also picked up the ApotheCARE Essentials Dry Shampoo in ‘The Booster’ for my morning rush (sometimes there is just no time to wash your hair!) as well as The Mender hair oil for the days I need a little more oomph.
As I mentioned, I don’t mind “mixing and matching” within the ApotheCARE Essentials line since all of the scents mingle well together. My hair not only looks and feels amazing – it also smells incredible.
The ApotheCARE Essentials shampoo has a nice, thick texture that lathered nicely and coated my hair easily as I massaged it in, and it rinsed out clean. I didn’t feel like it had stripped my hair (you know that straw feeling some shampoos give?) which I was incredibly happy with. The conditioner was also on the thicker side and I smoothed it easily into my hair, let sit for 3 minutes while I used my body wash and then rinsed it cleanly out.
When I got out of the shower, my hair was easy to manage, smelled incredibly and once dry it had amazing movement.
Next time you’re at CVS, stop by and check out the ApotheCARE Essentials line. From hair care to body care – you will fall in love with the cute bottles and incredible aromas.

The coconut milk and jasmine one sounds like it smells amazing! I love that they have an oil and a dry shampoo in the line, too.
