Running a blog isn’t always cheap, but I like having a clean layout that isn’t too cluttered with ads and flashy stuff to entice you to click on it.  Popups?  They drive me INSANE when visiting sites.  But a few months ago I found a really easy solution to make some cash through my site without making it a huge eyesore.

ProGrids provides a great option to advertise relevant content on your blog.  Have you ever noticed the 4 “You Might Also Like” suggestions at the bottom of each blog post?  That’s ProGrids at work!  ProGrids provides recommended product images based on your sites content so all advertisements are relevant to you and your blog.  The widget pulls product shots versus an actual advertisement which is a more appealing and a more organic way to click through.

Here’s a shot of what the ProGrids looks like in posts.  I have mine set to show 4 suggestions (you can do more or less depending on your preference!):

ProGrids

It’s quick and easy to install on both Wordpress and Blogger, looks clean and once you install the widget, you don’t need to do much else!

ProGrids is 100% free and easy to use.  All you need to do is visit the ProGrids Website, make an account and install your widget on your blog.  You can also access an easy to read “Reports” tab on ProGrids.com in order to see how much you are earning.

If you are blogging and interested in making a little extra cash, definitely check out ProGrids.

As a reader I love those little boxes at the bottom with similar posts! I click on those all the time. If I had my own blog, I’d have those at the bottom.
