I have a few posts to get up tonight, and we’re kicking it off with Polished Gamers Box October 2021 and the theme this month is The Sims!

I have 6 of this month’s Polished Gamers Box items to share, and as usual – the Polished Gamers Box shop will be from the 15th through the 20th.

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base and Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard Top Coat. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, but the Vibrant Vinyls Top Coat is a PR item sent to me for review. I do however admin for both Fan Groups for those 2 brands.

I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Bluebird Lacquer | How Now Perennial Cow

Inspiration: The cow plant. “The Laganaphyllis simnovorii (commonly known as the Cowplant or Cow Plant) is a partly carnivorous bovine form of vegetation that is large enough to swallow a Sim whole. It first appeared as the career reward for the Natural Science career in The Sims 2: University.“

Description: How Now Perennial Cow is a medium grey crelly base with magenta to green to gold shifting metallic flakes, green metallic flakes, and green to gold shifting flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lemming Lacquer | Paranormal

Inspiration: My favorite part of any Sims game has been the Paranormal or Spooky packs. This is my take on the Paranormal Pack of Sims 4 that holds all my favorite furniture and decor.

Description: Paranormal is a violet jelly with gold to green to blue shimmer and holographic flakes. In some lighting this looks very blurple and others very violet. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Sims 4 CAS glitches

Description: Cursed Image is a glowy teal jelly based linear holographic loaded with green to blue to violet shifting shimmer and silver holo flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My Indie Polish | Sims Castles

Inspiration: The beautiful soft castles in the sims games

Description: Sims Castle is a dusty, pale peach tinged pink crelly base with blue, orange and magenta glitters ranging in size from micro to medium. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Treo Lacquer | All Your Packs Are Belong To Me

Inspiration: The Sims is notorious for all their extra packs you buy to augment the main game.

Description: All Your Packs Are Belong To Me is a black jelly base loaded with sapphire blue to emerald green iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
