It has been quite a week with posts, and next up we have 10 items from the Polished Gamers Box for October 2020 with a Pokémon theme!

It feels like I just posted a Polished Gamers Box a few days ago, but I guess it’s been longer than that. In just 5 days, the Polished Gamers Box with a Pokémon theme will be releasing, and I have 10 items from this month’s box to share with you.

This box officially releases on the 15th and we’re gonna jump on in and see what these 10 makers have to offer this month.

Alter Ego Body Care Products | Bulbasaur

Inspiration: Bulbasaur

Description: Bulbasaur is a sheer, pale almost mint green base with silvery shimmer and green microglitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

While sheer on initial application, it does build up decently. There may be a very mild texture but I was able to smooth it over with 1 coat of thick top coat.

Shown is a mini bottle, customers will receive a full sized bottle.

Description: Dazzling Gleam is a pale lavender tinged grey jelly base loaded with linear holographic and bright pink to orange shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats an da glossy top coat for these photos.

Matterhorn Oils | Gourgeist

Inspiration: Gourgeist

Description: Matterhorn Oils is a multipurpose oil that can be used in your hair, on your cuticles, on your skin, in your beard… it’s amazing. Everyone in our house uses them and I have said that time and time again.

Nick uses Matterhorn Oils for his beard. Jacob and I both use it for our hair. After showering, add a few drops to your palm (I do about 8-12 drops because I have long, thick hair) and rub it in my palms, then I “scrunch” my hair in my hands and distribute throughout. Jacob does the same, but since his hair is considerable shorter – he only uses about 4-6 drops. It adds a nice scent to your hair and softens it up.

Love a scent so much you want to use it as perfume? Add a few drops into an unscented body cream and spread it on. It will last a few hours. The longevity won’t be like a lot of perfumes – but it will work.

Gourgeist is an interesting scent to me, and while I like it – it’s not one of my favorites, but I’m also not a huge pumpkin fan. My nose picks up fresh pumpkin and light pie crust like scent, as well as the cinnamon and nutmeg like tones. It’s not as “spicy” as some pumpkin spice scents I’ve come across and the pumpkin is the heavy hitter for me, but it comes across as more fresh pumpkin than baked in a pie pumpkin.

If you love pumpkin though – you’ll want this for sure. Even if you only like pumpkin. Pumpkin isn’t my favorite, but I still enjoy this scent.

My Indie Polish | Copperajah

Description: This one I liked a lot more than I thought I would. Copperajah is a sheer teal tinted base with green shimmer, orange holo glitters and multi colored micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Necessary Evil Polish | Memory Erasure

Inspiration: Mewtwo

Description: Memory Erasure is a black jelly base loaded with scattered holo, blue to indigo to teal to violet iridescent flakes and blue to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My camera freaked out on this polish for some reason. It didn’t know what to focus on.

Treo Lacquer | Wind Rage (Magnetic)

Inspiration: Gigantamax Corviknight’s exclusive move

Description: Wind Rage is a black crelly base loaded with purple to pink shifting magnetic pigment, as well as purple to blue to gold to green ultra chrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In person, the magnetic effect is stronger and almost glows against the deep background.

There we have it – the 10 items I was sent for this months box. It’s quite a nice mix of color – but primarily purpley pink or green. I had no application issues with any of the items.
