I was struggling all weekend to really get into a groove to post. On Saturday my MIL came over for a few hours, then I was in a cleaning mode. Sunday Jacob and I spent the day out and about and then I came home and did some swatching… and didn’t really do much posting. Now I’m pushing myself to post and continue editing photos on my camera roll.
I did push myself to edit all of the Polished Gamers Box photos for June 2021! The theme this time around is Minecraft.
This month I have 5 of the Polished Gamers Box offerings to share.
Minecraft. I honestly still never actually played the game, but I remember when Jacob was younger he was OBSESSED with it. 3 birthday parties in a row – he wanted them Minecraft themed. And if you are a non crafty person like me with a Minecraft obsessed child – those party decorations get real expensive, real quick.
I also remember him always begging Nick to download different mods for him. And the mini mystery pack figures I would buy him from Walgreens. We still have those somewhere and I would also randomly find them in my purse – he wanted me to have his duplicates.
I also remember spending entirely too much money on the Minecraft Lego Micro World sets around Christmas time one year. Ouch.
Anyways – onward. This month’s shop will open on the 15th (tomorrow!) as always and will remain open until the 20th. Actual time frames and links will be at the bottom of the post.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base and Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard Top Coat. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, but the Vibrant Vinyls Top Coat is a PR item sent to me for review. I do however admin for both Fan Groups for those 2 brands.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Apipila | Minecraft Plate

Description: Apipila is back with another incredible stamping plate. This month we have a ton of images from Minecraft on a 10×15 cm Stainless Steel plate. The etching was nicely done and I picked up even the finer lined images without issue.
Base color is Nvr Enuff Hologram 2.0.

Description: Nether A Mush Nor A Room is a teal crelly base with green to blue iridescent flakes and pale orange matte hex glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The orange glitters add some texture to the polish, so I do recommend 2 coats of top coat or a glitter smoothing topper before top coat for a nice, plump nail look.

Healthy Fawns | Block Party On The Go Bag Keychain

Description: On The Go Bags are among my favorite new things from Healthy Fawns – and I also tend to buy her masks in the shop that match some of these bags. This month the hand sewn bag is made with Minecraft material.
It measures 5″ x 2.5″ x 2″ with a colorful zipper and multichrome zipper head and lobster claw. It also has an iridescent coil.
My spawn bargained with me for this bag. I was planning on giving it to him since I knew he’d love it – but when he started bargaining… I’m not one to turn that down. So this bag is now holding several of his chapsticks (he always has a ton of chapsticks… every year for Christmas he gets a stocking full of them since he prefers those to candy)

MTK Design | inFOXicating (Thermal)
Inspiration: Minecraft Fox
Description: inFOXicating is a neon golden orange (warm) to bright orange (cool) crelly based, subtle thermal with coper to gold iridescent flakes and shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is a more subtle thermal and it’s visible in person – but it’s created as more of a subtle effect. The brightness of both warm and cool states freak out the camera though and made it hard for the gradient to really show

Treo Lacquer | Frozen Nose

Description: Frozen Nose is a muted white crelly base with matte black hex glitters in micro and small sizes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
