Happy Thursday! It’s been busy busy and I’ve been sick. I woke up Sunday with a slight cough and then Monday I couldn’t move because every joint in my body hurt. Luckily I recorded video before I was hit hard, but it’s been a rough few days and the cough is worse and I’m soooo exhausted.
Anyways, I have the first Polished Gamers Box of 2025 to share, and the theme is Favorite Games!

So the basics… Polished Gamers Box used to be a monthly box, then it was a bi-monthly box, but now it’s moved into being a quarterly box. Basically each box is themed with some sort of gaming – might specifically be a game or it can be broader like board games or retro games or it could be a genre of games. The box is open from the 15th of the month until the 20th. Then it closes – totals are sent to makers and it can take about 3-4 weeks before shipping starts up since makers have to get their total sold to HQ to prep for shipping.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased, also affiliate link). My nails are clear gel nails as well (Apres Gel X) so VNL doesn’t show much… but if you can see through my nail tip – your VNL will show through the polish.
My lighting set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link). I do use artificial lighting due to my day job and not being around much during daylight hours.

BCB Lacquers | Badeline 2.0 (Reswpawn)
Inspiration: The character Badeline from the game Celeste.
Description: This is a respawn shade that originally debuted in May 2021 and the theme was Indie Games.
Badeline 2.0 is a purple celly(leaning jelly) with a strong pink/orange/gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: The iconic Sims Plumbob.
Description: Plumbob! is a super pale green (looks almost white with the slightest green tinge) crelly base with green to purple to pink shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Inspired by the dynamic duo of Sonic and Tails
Description: Sonic & Tails is a bright blue jelly base with orange/red/gold/green shifting ultra chrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

Garden Path Lacquers | Glacial Gutting
Inspiration: Inspired by Asia Consent’s winning Dead by Daylight look on Dragula season 666. Her look will be released as a custom Dead by Daylight skin.
Description: Glacial Gutting is a cherry red jelly base accented with bright blue aurora shimmer, red holographic microglitter, and black metallic microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
With the base and the shimmer, the final look (especially at 3 coats) appears to be a warm purple.

Description: Princess Peach is a warm toned neon pink creme base with delicate gold shimmer and gold crystal flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Jen & Berries | Ever-so-mildly Radioactive
Inspiration: Nuka Cola Quantum from the Fallout franchise
Description: Ever-so-mildly Radioactive is a violet linear holographic base with aqua to blue to purple shifting shimmer and a mix of different sized holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
While you catch glimpses of other shades, this does show as primarily blue for me.

Lemming Lacquer | The Power of Fantasy
Inspiration: Inspired by my favorite DLC for my favorite game: Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon Keep. I love that the DLC is based around my favorite Borderlands 1 characters playing their world’s version of Dungeons and Dragons.

Inspiration: Inspired by the endless fashion choices in The Elder Scrolls Online
Description: Apple Bottom Greaves is a purple jelly base with a colorful mix of iridescent flakes and a gold magnetic pigment that shifts slightly green in certain light. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I used a velvet magnet on the index and pinky nails, and catseye magnet on middle and ring nails, thumb is unmagnetized
