So many “finals for 2021” coming up and it still amazes me that the year is almost done already. Today we’ll be looking at 6 items I received for the Polished Gamers Box December 2021, and the theme is God of War.
I have 6 of this months offerings and it’s a nice assortment of colors. The shop opens today for the December theme – so you can snag these items and more from today through December 20th.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base and Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard Top Coat. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, but the Vibrant Vinyls Top Coat is a PR item sent to me for review. I do however admin for both Fan Groups for those 2 brands.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Bluebird Lacquer | OH EM GEE
Inspiration: The lake scene in the battle against the hydra.
Description: OH EM GEE is a dark, blue leaning teal jelly base with green to gold to red shifting flakes and a subtle scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Garden Path Lacquers | A Meeting in Hell
Inspiration: Inspired by a screen grab of Kratos in the “Escape from Helheim” chapter of God of War
Description: A Meeting In Hell is a sheer aqua jelly base with three different iridescent color shifting flakes as well as green to purple shifting shimmer and silver holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Hades from God of War III
Description: WTH (What The Hades) is a purple jelly base with red to orange to gold to green shimmer and micro flecks, copper to green iridescent shimmer and purple to violet to blue iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My Indie Polish | Zeus (Thermal)
Inspiration: Inspired by a picture of Zeus
Description: Zeus is a greyed out blurple (cold) to dusty pearl white (hot) with purple to punk shimmer and purple to green to blue micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
It was incredibly cold on the day I did these photos and my nails kept going back to cold state before I could snap a photo. The single nail close up is the best representation of the “warm” state.

Penelope Luz | Born To War (Magnetic)
Inspiration: fan art of Kratos.
Description: Born to War is a medium grey, semi sheer jelly base with red metallic micro flakes, silver holo micro flecks and silver magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the 2 middle nails so you can see this polish both ways.
