It feels like these last two months have just been a whirlwind… but I have the Polished Gamers January 2024 and the theme is Tabletop Games!

I have 12 of this month’s offerings to share, and unfortunately I did not do a video. Work got super busy and there simply wasn’t time.

So the basics… Polished Gamers Box used to be a monthly box, then it was a bi-monthly box, but now it’s moved into being a quarterly box. Basically each box is themed with some sort of gaming – might specifically be a game or it can be broader like board games or retro games or it could be a genre of games. The box is open from the 15th of the month until the 20th. Then it closes – totals are sent to makers and it can take about 3-4 weeks before shipping starts up since makers have to get their total sold to HQ to prep for shipping.

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased, also affiliate link). 

My lighting set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link). I do use artificial lighting due to my day job and not being around much during daylight hours.

Alchemy Lacquers | Settlers

Inspiration: Inspired by the game board from the classic table top game, Settlers of Catan.

Description:  Settlers is a thermal crelly based polish that shifts from a periwinkle blue (cold) to white (warm) with contrasting green to turquoise to blue iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: The tabletop game ‘Sorry!’

Description: Sweet Revenge is a bright turquoise crelly with pink to purple flakes, and lime and blue metallic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Britney Spears Monopoly

Description: Oops I Did It Again is a dark gunmetal silver holo base (it looks black) loaded with aqua hex and pink shiffon hex glitters as well as silver reflective glitter and aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoothing topper and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Card game called “That’s Not A Hat” which is a group game that requires memory. Hopefully you have a light hearted group because this can be funny 😆

Inspiration: Inspired by one of our favorite board games “Ticket to ride” it’s become one of my all time favorites due to my brother and game night. We chose the rails and sails version specifically.
