Ciao, Gelato! Collection
Tonight I have a pretty, creamy collection to show you! It’s the Paint Box Polish Ciao, Gelato! Collection!
Paint Box Polish drew inspiration from a pircure a friend sent them from an Italian Gelateria, and they found the colors so beautiful – they translated them into polish and named them after the delicious gelato flavors.
I personally hadn’t had gelato until my boyfriend introduced me to it a few years ago, and ugh – it was amazing!
Let’s take a look at these beautiful shades! If you see some you like – use the code SANCTUARY for 15% off your Paint Box Polish order!
Fragola
Italian for strawberry, Fragola is a pretty bubblegum pink creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Melone
Melone is a light cantaloupe orange shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ananas
Ananas is a vibrant pineapple yellow! It’s actually a little more pastel than my photos show. For some reason my camera was like “Hmm I’m gonna make this BRIGHT!” and really – it’s not this bright in person. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pistacchio
Pistacchio is a pale Spring green and is absolutely GORGEOUS! Easily one of my favorites in the collection. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Puffo
Puffo is a bright blue creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Much like Ananas – my camera wanted this to be bright. It’s a little more toned down in person.
No one really knows what flavor Puffo is supposed to be. Some say bubble gum.
Frutti di Bosco
Frutti di Bosco is a pink toned purple creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Frutti di Bosco is Italian for fruits of the forest, gelato al frutti di bosco is flavored with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc
Bacio
Bacio is a warm medium brown creme. Bacio is the name for a popular chocolate hazelnut candy. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Bacio had some random “specks” in it
Stracciatella
Stracciatella is a white crelly base with black flakes mixed in. The only creme shade in the collection with a little something extra added. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The gelato equivalent of chocolate chip ice cream, stracciatella is made by drizzling chocolate over gelato al crema, then mixing the shards in before serving.
Paint Box Polish Ciao, Gelato! Collection Overview
Such a pretty collection PERFECT for Spring! I had no application issues with any of these shades and the colors are toned down, but still vibrant. Most were opaque in 2 coats, but Pistacchio needed 3.
My top picks are Pistacchio, Puffo, Stracciatella and Melone.
