Press Sample of the Pahlish
Moonlight Collection
Today we’re going to be looking at the Pahlish Moonlight Collection!
The Pahlish Moonlight Collection was inspired by the mythos of the Goddess Elune from World of Warcraft! I don’t think I need to tell you again that I’m a WoW player – but I am – so seeing the inspiration for this set got me really excited.
Just a heads up, it’s been a crazy week pretty much all over. I’ve been working still but keeping up with all precautions regarding Coronavirus, and as of yesterday, Jacob is out of school for the next 2-3 weeks. My days have been consisting of going to work, then coming home and painting my nails.
My work handles a lot of packages from the outside world during tax season. From incoming tax packets from hundreds of clients to bills to payments to basic outside things like filling up my gas tank… so I’ve been amping up the hand washing as well as hand sanitizer – and you can definitely see the effects on my skin. I was going to go over it with a smoothing tool, but honestly – I’m lazy and said screw it. People know things are going on and I’m not going to be ashamed of diligently washing and sanitizing my hands 10x more than usual.
It is what it is.
If you’re offended by some dry, tightened skin – I don’t know what to tell you. It’s probably going to be like this for a bit. I am still oiling up and using lotion, but it’s getting washed off almost as quickly as it’s being put on.
Let’s jump into it!
Pahlish | Light of Elune
Light of Elune is a white crelly base with green to rose shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The shimmer really gives the crisp white a glowy look and I really loved this shade on.
Pahlish | Moonkin
Moonkin is a golden ivory crelly base with rose copper shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I didn’t think this shade would look good on my cool toned skin – but it looked really nice and wasn’t too warm against my skin. It’s a bit paler in person since the lighting I use picked up more shimmer and amplified it a little.
Pahlish | Shadowsong
Shadowsong is a rosy pink crelly base with golden green to pink shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Brush strokes are more visible in this shade. You can see where the brush started or overlapped a bit. Still a beautiful shade, but you will most likely see them.
Pahlish | Moonwell
Moonwell is a dusty denim blue crelly base with teal to blue to pink to gold multichrome shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Very minor brush strokes are visible, less so in person, but just enough for me to mention it.
Pahlish | Darkshore
Darkshore is a slightly dusty midnight blue crelly base with green to blue to gold to bronze multichrome flakes, as well as iridescent flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pahlish | Starshards
Starshards is a deep chocolate brown base loaded with copper to bronze shifting shimmer, as well as holographic micro flecks mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pahlish | Moonlight Collection
This is a really nicely done set, and while I thought that Shadowsong would be my favorite – it’s actually Light of Elune followed by Moonkin.
