OPI has added DS Raw Granite, two new granite-inspired hues – DS Pewter and DS Lapis – to the Designer Series by OPI collection. Featuring a matte textured finish with mineral-like reflections, each Designer Series Raw Granite lacquer formula offers subtle sheen with a sparkle finish.
Diamond-dust gives nails the perfect touch of glamour and can instantly transform any look. These two new shades are inspired by raw granite – the diamond’s edgy cousin – and we’re excited to broaden the range of color in the Designer Series line
I was expecting DS Raw Granite to be similar Liquid Sands, but they aren’t as gritty!
DS Lapis
For me, DS Lapis was the star of the two of these polishes. It takes on different appearances depending on the lighting. In brighter lighting, the silver particles sparkle more. In slightly dimmer lighting, the blue particles really come through. DS Lapis is a deep sapphire blue with a textured matte finish. I used 2 coats for this photo.

You can tell from the closer photo that the texture is there, but much less raised than in Liquid Sands.
With Top Coat
So gorgeous with top coat! With Liquid Sands I generally need 2 coats of top coat to smooth everything over. With Raw Granite, I only needed 1 coat.

DS Pewter
DS Pewter is a deep charcoal grey base with small silver micro glitter and slightly larger silver glitters and dry to a matte textured finish. Once again, even with the slightly bigger glitters, the texture isn’t as strong as in a Liquid Sand. I used 2 coats for this photo.

With Top Coat
I prefer the look of Pewter with top coat! Again, I only needed 1 coat of top coat to smooth it all out.

Both of these are really pretty and apply well. If I could only pick one to snag though, Lapis is the must have!

Any chance of a quick comparison of DS Lapis with Zoya Sunshine? I can’t tell from the very few photos of Lapis I’ve seen if it’s all that different from Sunshine. Which one do you like better?
Lapis is definitely my favorite!
Omg I LOVE them!!
Whether or not I can talk my boss into letting me carry them for fall/winter this year, I’ll be ordering one of each as soon as they’re available!
Pretty!
Really pretty! I’m interested to see just how “gritty” these are compared to traditional Liquid Sands!
I am in love with Pewter, it’s gorgeous with and without top coat!
These are really fun! And thanks for posting with a topcoat as well ;) So pretty!
Pewter is SO pretty!!
