Several years ago, I was on a balcony that collapsed. I fell 3 stories onto concrete steps and I was rather lucky. Although I did have injuries, they should have been far worse than they actually were. I ended up shattering my right heel, embedded my tibia into my ankle and fractured the L1 vertebrae. I healed up alright, only needed 1 surgery which was to put a Y shaped metal plate and 12 screws in my right foot to get everything back together. As a result though, I do have pain in my right heel and ankle area (especially with weather changes) and some back pain now and again. Overall though, I am quite thankful that that’s all that was wrong with me.
I decided to try out a new product, Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Cream and see if it would help alleviate some of the aches and pains. The weather here in California is finally getting chilly and my foot has been cramping up and aching as a result. Perfect time to try something like this. Currently I take 800mg Motrin from my doctor when the injury area starts acting up and I would like to get away from that for a bit, which was mainly why I was willing to give Noxicare a shot.
Here is what the company has to say about the product:
“Noxicare Natural Pain Relief is a breakthrough natural, patented pain relief formula that is a proprietary combination of 7 of the world’s most potent natural pain relievers that quickly and effectively alleviate inflammation, muscle aches and nerve pain (burning feet)—with NO known side effects and without a prescription.”
Let’s see if I agree!
I received Noxicare about 2 weeks ago. It comes in a pretty standard squeeze tube as you see above. Directions are pretty straight forward, apply Noxicare generously to the problem area (my right heel and ankle) a few times a day.
The cream itself is a bright yellow, but as you rub it in, the color disappears on your skin. I would be very careful with white or light colored clothing. If you use a little too much and don’t rub it in completely – it will leave a light stain. There isn’t much of a smell that I could detect, basically it smelled like every other scentless like lotion I’ve come across.
Now the real question – does it work?
I did notice a soothing feeling after about the 4th use and I do think Noxicare is good for the milder pain days where I need something, but not necessarily one of my Motrin pills. Did it work completely? No. I can’t say that I would turn to this on a regular basis. It did help some – but I won’t be getting rid of my prescription meds anytime soon for it. It seems to be more of a “minor relief while you wait for your Motrin to kick in”.
I’m not saying it’s a bad product, but it may not be for the type of pain I experience. I have used it a few times on my shoulders when they are aching and it seems to relieve those pretty well, so I will continue to use it for smaller things like that.
