Winter 2021 Collection

How is January almost half over already? While hearing the date makes me wonder where the time has gone… it also feels like we’re 3 months into 2021, doesn’t it? I just realized what day it was when I saw what the release date for this collection was, and thought “wow.. already?” Plus it reminded me to get this up before the launch – so here it is! I have the Night Owl Lacquer Winter 2021 Collection to share!

The collection itself was inspired by the movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. It’s a 6 piece collection, plus I will also be showing February’s Creme of the Month!

I actually did watch this movie when it released and it was amusing. It helped kill time in 2020 which was much needed. I do enjoy the inspiration behind this release and the selected shades to represent it.

Night Owl Lacquer | Play Jaja Ding Dong!

Play Jaja Ding Dong! is a vibrant teal green jelly based linear holographic. When I put this one, I felt that it was almost an emerald green like teal. The holo is STRONG too. A lot stronger than my photos show. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Where The Mountains Sing

Where The Mountains Sing is a silvery duochrome that has a mint green to soft lavender shift. Brush strokes are visible with application and it has a nice chrome finish. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Volcano Man

Volcano Man was my sleeper shade. I saw it and was like “oh okay” but when I put it on, it actually turned out to be my top pick. It’s not a shade I’d usually reach for – so I was pleasantly surprised. Volcano Man is a pale grey crelly base loaded with red to gold shifting shimmer, charcoal flakes and holographic micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Song-a-Long

Song-a-Long is a raspberry leaning fuchsia jelly base packed with silver holographic microglitter and pink to yellow to green color shifting crystal chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This does dry down with mild texture, so you might need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

Night Owl Lacquer | You’re a Dreamer, My Dreamer

You’re a Dreamer, My Dreamer is a deep blue base with a beautiful shimmery shift of aqua to blue to purple, with the addition of silver flecks mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | I’m Checkin’ You Out

I’m Checkin You Out is a brown based multichrome with a strong burgundy to peachy pink to copper to green shift. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Bruised Not Broken

Bruised Not Broken is a dark, cool toned purple creme, and it’s borderline blurple. I do think it still leans more into purple – but it toes that line. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos, plus I stamped over Fancy Gloss Got Milk?

Night Owl Lacquer | Winter 2021 Collection

I do think Night Owl Lacquer picked perfect shades to represent Eurovision, especially with all the shifty shades.

I had no application issues, and any minor things to note were in each description.
