Happy Sunday! Running a little behind tonight on posts – but I’m going to get a couple up before I head to bed. First up – here is tonights stunning release from Night Owl Lacquer! Today’s release covered Night Owl Lacquer’s Potion Ingredients Volume 2 Collection, September COTM & 5 Year Brand Anniversary Polish.
The Potion Ingredients Volume 2 Collection consists of 6 polishes. If you want to revisit Volume 1 of this set from last year – you can do that HERE.
Altogether there were 8 new shades that released. You can snag them all now. The September Creme of the Month will be available for about 3 months (minimum) and the Anniversary Polish will be available until the end of the year.
Let’s jump in and take a look. Again – these all released a few hours ago – so you can grab it now.
We’re going to start with the Anniversary Polish, then Creme of the Month and then we’ll move into the collection.
Night Owl Lacquer | Wings of Night
Wings of Night is a black tinted jelly base with densely packed purple to pink to bronze to gold to green color shifting aurora shimmer and silver holographic micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Ectoplasm
Ectoplasm is a slightly lime tinged neon yellow. This isn’t the highlighter yellow or lemon yellow we usually see, and it’s not chartreuse – it’s yellow that has just a tinge of that lime green tone.
I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did find this shade to be a touch on the thicker side and it wasn’t self leveling, so you do need a little patience with it. I did thin coats and found that worked best for me.
Night Owl Lacquer | Tears of a Dragon
Tears of a Dragon is a fuchsia jelly base loaded with purple to red shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Essence of Fright
Essence of Fright is a black jelly base with orange holo shreds, as well as green to blue to purple color shifting crystal chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This dries down with a mild texture and I would recommend 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.
Night Owl Lacquer | Scales of Serpent
Scales of Serpent is a sheer, yellow tinged olive jelly base loaded with gold to copper to bronze and silver to green to copper multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Breath of a Banshee
Breath of a Banshee is a light-medium grey crelly base with purple to pink to gold to green aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Venom of a Vampire
Venom of a Vampire is a bright, warm toned red jelly base with red to copper to green aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Seeds of Discord
Seeds of Discord is a pumpkin orange crelly base with gold holographic micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This polish dries down with a mild texture – but 1 coat of top coat should take care of it.
