It’s New Years Eve – so what better way to kick off a new blog then with my New Years Eve manicure.
Over the last few weeks Zoya held TON of flash promos on their Twitter and Facebook pages. In those few weeks I got my hands on 52 new nail polishes. It was a great way for me to get my hands on colors I would usually shy away from and I was really impressed by the Zoya brand in general!
For New Years Eve I wanted something with a bit of sparkle and I love how this turned out. For the base I used Zoya’s Kelly. Kelly is a gorgeous deep grey crème with some purple and blue tones visible. Kelly goes on smooth and was completely opaque in 2 coats.
For the tips I used a cosmetic wedge to sponge on Zoya’s Trixie. Trixie is a gorgeous metallic silver with a foil like finish. For sponging effects and stamping – Trixie is my top pick. I purchased 2 bottles of it just for that reason.
Over Trixie I used Opi’s Servin’ Up Sparkle to add a little bit more to the look. Opi’s Servin’ Up Sparkle is a silver based holographic glitter with small particles of glitter as well as slightly larger hexagon and round particles. I only used one coat of Servin’ Up Sparkle.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Years and I look forward to posting more in 2012!
