NEW OPI DS Titanium & DS Tourmaline Swatches & Review

I received a few new OPI sets to show you all, but I had to start with the 2 new Designer Series shades coming out!

Both of these Designer Series have gorgeous iridescent flakes and are lightly textured.  They don’t have a gritty feel at all, so if you are turned off by that type of texture, you don’t have to worry.

Let’s dive in.

OPI DS Titanium

DS Titanium is a deep titanium grey with iridescent flakes, silver micro glitter and silver holographic micro glitter.  I used 2 coats for these photos and they dry down to a matte finish.  I did not use top coat for these photos.

OPI DS Tourmaline

DS Tourmaline is a vibrant bright pink with iridescent flakes and some holo sparkle thrown in.  Truly stunning in person.  I thought Titanium would be my favorite of the 2, but once I put Tourmaline on, I’m not so sure anymore!  I used 2 coats for these photos and no top coat.

Overview

Two great additions to the OPI Designer Series family!  Although I won’t lie, I do still miss the amazing holographic DS shades… but I can’t complain since both shades shown here are completely unique to my collection.  Both had good application and I was happy with opacity at just 2 coats.  They are lightly textured, but not overly so.  You can feel the flakes within the polish but I doubt it will snag on anything.

Both OPI DS Titanium and Tourmaline will be available beginning September 2014 at professional salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $12.50 ($14.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.
