Mont Bleu Women’s Leather Manicure Set Review

Today I have a little set that is perfect to carry around.  This is the Mont Bleu Women’s Leather Manicure set.  It contains nail scissors, tweezers and a mini glass file.

I have been using a regular Mont Bleu glass nail file since about March of 2012.  It is my go to nail file and because the grit on it is laser etched – it lasts and still works just as well as it did when I first received it.  I file my nails twice a week, I never use nail clippers anymore – ever.

First I want to show off some detail!

This is the handle on the mini glass file.  Both the glass file and tweezers are decorated with SWAROVSKI® ELEMENTS and are completely adorable!  The glass file also has a clear filing tip and gradients to a purple handle.  My favorite color! Glass nail file is made of Czech tempered glass in Czech Republic by Mont Bleu.

The tweezers have a slant tip, are made of stainless steel and are rubber coated for an easy grip.

The nail scissors are made of stainless steel in Solingen, Germany.  The case is made of genuine leather.

This is a really cute set and has been in my purse since I received it early last month.  The quality is really good as well!  As I said – I’ve been using my regular sized Mont Bleu glass file for well over a year and keep it at my desk at all times.  It gets used twice a week (at least) and it never dulls!  I know you can find glass files in several places, some super cheap – BUT – be careful.  Some have grit that is sand blasted on, so it doesn’t last and you’ll be replacing it fairly quickly.  It can also wreak havoc on your nails!  I used a cheapie glass file once awhile back and my nails looked and felt awful after.  The cheaper file made the tips of my nails ragged and uneven and they were catching on EVERYTHING.  My Mont Bleu glass file gives me a smooth clean edge everytime, and the grit is laser etched into the glass!

With this mini carry set, I have a mini version with me at all times for nail emergencies.  I’ve used the tweezers and scissors a number of times as well on hangnails (ok I use the scissors for non emergencies too like a loose thread on my shirt and such – having it comes in handy!)

All 3 items are made really well and are incredibly sturdy (just don’t drop the glass file… it is glass afterall!) and most women should have a set like this on them!

I highly suggest snagging at least one of their Glass Files (if the crystal look isn’t for you, they also have plain files!).  Your nails will be thankful and I can almost guarantee you won’t go back to a cheaper version!
